Guy at Game Stop told me in the new Game Informer Issue they said PS3 is getting rid of backwards compatability and dropping price 100$Silosorz

They must mean the dropping of the emotion engine (or was it the gfx chip?) like the EU version of the console and IMO the thing needs to drop to £299 to be attractive. At £425 it's just way too expensive atm. Got mine after a few trade-ins but wouldn't have got it otherwise...glad I did tho :)

People seem to forget that the original xbox (black brick) retailed at £399 at launch in the UK but they dropped that price by a ton within weeks as sales bombed after launch...just like the PS3 has sadly :( Hope we get some vouchers if they do ;)

It sounds shallow but I got mine in impulse! I went into a local game shop and asked how much they'd give me on a trade-in for my old PSTwo and a 360 HD-DVD drive and it was enough to convinve me! I'm glad I did tbh. Would prefer the ports that I've got to be on PS3 now rather than the 360 but I still like the 360 exclusives aswell.

ATM I spend more time playing PS2 and PS1 game tho and am actively buying PS2 games again :)

Not a fanboy but am impressed with the PS3 so far...

The only thing that is completely region free are PS3 games. DVDs, Blu-Ray movies, PS2 games and PSOne still have their region coding enforced.

And the game thing is only because Sony got B**** slapped by Australia for monopolistic practices due to restrictive copy protection control which was basically the region control bit IIRC. Thx Aussies ;)

The Blu-Ray region protection thing SUX tho. H8 being stuck with EU :(

Wish we were in the same region / number as JP and USA so I could imports :)

Motorstorm to me was a cool game but it felt too much like a demo and not enough like a full game. The single player races were boring due to a lack of track variety but the multiplayer was good.

I'd say it should be a £20 game and not full price but is definitely worth a go :)

Pretty sure they said all these Sploits would be patched out of the PS3 version...ie it's as up to date as teh 360 one.

[QUOTE="814StopsToday"] it's sent out 45 days after it was released, and if you haven't got an email confirming your Blu-Ray then you're not getting oneLiams

When did you get the e-mail?

Got my mail last Thursday :) Ade.

The W810i phone is a Sony-Ericsson music phone. You can add a 4gb card to it and play music using the SE format. However, when putting the memory card in the PS3 it does not recognize the music under the music folder. If you go to pictures there is a list of the artists and the name of the songs, but you can't play them.

Has anyone found the same / did you find something different? Has anyone heard any rumors about Sony making the PS3 more compatible with their music format? I would actually have expected this out of the box - seriously it is their own format (in conjunction with Ericsson)......

Thanks!

Yup got the same phone and it does the same thing for me too :( I believe that it's a file arrangement issue tho and not a File format one as the same music tracks work fine on my PSP pro duo card... Also my sons Samsung MP3 (4GB) doesn't work...the PS3 recognises the file structure and that the songs are there but won't play them. Ade.
