I like both as far as legacy goes. For modern, 3D as Dead or Alive and Virtua Fighter are the only ones I've followed lately.Eikichi-Onizuka

They still make Virtua Fighter? What's the latest one called?

2D ones win quite easily, imo.

The fighting mechanics in 3D fighters feel a bit out of place and clunky to me.

It's like they took a 2D fighter and put it into 3D graphics but not also significantly changed the fighting system. (which would, imo, require analog buttons and full, free, analog stick movement in 3D space)

I have to applaud Toshinden, Bushido Blade and even Ballz for being brave enough to give more focus on free movement in 3D space.

I thought Toshiden played similar in ways to tekken and was not completely free movment?

[QUOTE="Admiral-lemnant"]

[QUOTE="GSJones1994"] Still, that's not a good enough excuse to call it overrated. I do think OoT has been surpassed before it was even released, if you know what I mean. I think that Super Metroid is better than OoT.Stefan91x

It's overrated because like blabon or whatever his name above a few posts said, the game had tons of crap that was unacceptable in 1998 and somehow everyone ignored it and called it a masterpiece.

Of course, it was not among the top 10 worst games in 1998 mind you, so it wasn't terrible. But it was overrated.

dumb - dumber - Another 48 Hours

Hzve you ever though of getting some mental health? You call me names for having the same opinoon as blabadon abbove yet say nothing to him whatsoever, so obvioulsy there;s something wrong with your mental state when you just randomly call people dumb for no reason.

[QUOTE="Admiral-lemnant"]

[QUOTE="GSJones1994"] And don't forget the Apple Pippen and Gizmondo too.GSJones1994

Question, have you played either of those systems? Just curious to see how you fromed your opinion.

Also to answer the thread, Mega duck I believe is what its called. It's bad enough some bad consoles with a few bad games, but when you have a LARGE library of bad games, well..

Well, I did my research.

apple pippin had some pretty good PC games on it that were highly rated, just because the conole was a failure does not mean it did not have good games, look at the dreamcast. Although I will say that the pippin needed more exclusive content.

With great 2D classics like:

Fighting Street

Street Fighter 2

Super Street Fighter 2

Street Fighter 3

Street Fighter 3 3rd strike

Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street fighter

Samurai showdown

Fatal Fury

Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat 2

Mortal Kombat 3

Primal Rage

King of Fighters

Darkstalkers

Clayfiughter

Guilty Gear

Then with Great 3D Fighters like:

Tekken

Tekken 3

Mortal Kombat 4

Mortal Kombat deadly allaince

Soul Caliber

Soulcaliber 2

Battle Arena Toshinden

Street fighter EX

DStreet Fighter Ex2(plus)

Virtua Fighter

Virtua FIghter 3

Fighting Vipers

Fighter MEgamaix

Def jam

Bloody Roar

Which do you prefer more? I have been looking at this for a very long long long time......

I would say that it would depend on the combat system really. If something was using say, use King of Fighters engine I would not use that in a 3D fighting game for example.

At some of the games in your list. And wow at your OP.

super600

He gave the Wii version of Goldeneye 007, the cash grab version of dead rising, and Nintendogs a 10/10. He must be yanking our chains and oding this badly written OP on purpose or if he isn't then there is something wrong going on.

Most of the pc exclusive games have bad graphics because the avg pc is alot weaker than this gen consoles let alone next-gen, so comparing pcs to consoles is like animals to humans. I think a high-end gaming pc can do a lot more than crysis 3. Cryengine 1,2,3 was made for consoles in mind.
