I'm sick of how everything is crossing over into shooterdom now, how Mass Effect is essentially a shooter

How MGS4's controls have been changed to make it a lot more like a shooter

but on the plus side Assassin's Creed 2 isnt a shooter, Little Big Planet is one of the best platformers this decade, we also have Mario Galaxy 2 coming up,

We have plenty of good RPGs, I suggest Oblivion (play it more until your head explodes)or Dragon Age to tide you over until Final Fantasy XIII comes out

buuuuut, we have run out of classic games

nothing will beat old school mario/sonic, or old final fantasy games old zelda games, ahhh Nintendo, I miss you :'(

I actually dunno about a Lost Odyssey sequal, I played the first one and..kinda enjoyed it but I dunno, FFXIII is kinda higher up on the list, it's kinda 1st on my most hyped for list, just above Castlevania, Heavy Rain and The Last Guardian :P

there are alot of emotional scenes in Final Fantasy X and X-2

I also love the kissing scene with Tidus and Yuna.

The bit that probably made me cry the most though was actually 1000 words in X-2, I think it's a mixture of the moving song and the images of Tidus and Yuna/Shuyin and Len that really grab me and shake me up.

Is a 60 hour game a good idea, or would you prefer it to be a little shorter?

I, personally, haven't put 60 hours into the single player experience of a game in a long time. So, if you were someone like me in that case, would you be turned off by it?

Lately I have been playing games with small single player experiences and getting straight into the online, where I usually clock hundreds of hours into. That doesn't even feel like that much when you're playing it - but on paper it is massive. I'm getting this game... no matter how long it is. I do not wish it to be any longer and I think that it's as short as neccessary. That is my opinion, but I want to know yours. So fire away. :)

I've clocked in more than a hundred hours on both Final Fantasy X and XII and more than 80 on VII, VIII and IX, so, I should hope that it will have a 60 hour story and 40 hours worth of secrets at the very least.

People have no attention span nowadays, so great games can't have single player 'campaigns' longer than 6 hours because if it does people dont really understand and probably get lost in the depth of the story...'wuts a plot twist :S' so they need multiplayer to compensate spending so much on a game that you'll play for 6 hours when you can get 6 hours worth of film for much less.
