I used to think old tou was bad. but now gamespot become laughab.ly bad. SW become so much anti PC that it make me stay away and OT always anti religion. F**k this site. System wars - daily PC Gaming bash thread OT - Daily Religion bash thread.SNIPER4321

I remember you. You're that guy who raged about gaming being the best hobby. And laughed at all who made Islam look barbaric while you enjoyed your life. lol. Good for you, bro.

I share your sentiments. Atleast the old ToS avoided this mess. Now this place has turned into the **** of biased religious and cultural debates.

And btw, Ultrapc. Just keep quiet about your atheism and nobody will give a crap. Nobody in Dubai cares and I certainly don't. And quit being a douche while you're at it. Posting unsourced topics.

I grew up with his music. Careless Whisper's sax solo is especially nostalgic. But anything past his 90's stuff sucks aside from "Amazing" and "White Light". I'm passionate about 80's music overall.

One game im playing right now on the 3ds is called tales of the abyss and man is it an ugly looking game.

blaznwiipspman1

It's a port of an 8-year-old PS2 game. The Tales team were lazy on it. But I had alot of fun because I never played it past an hour before then. PS2 loading times kill it.

This was a fun thread. Greek taking other differing opinions too seriously as usual.

I see the 3DS as a PS2, version 1.5 in graphical power.

Ya pes mou, file. Ektos apo sena, eimaste oli edo zoa? lol.

All retro overpriced games are not worth it. It just has that price for guillible collectors who don't even play the game after they acquire it. I mean, the developers get ziltch outta the transaction.

If a current gen game is overpriced. that's simply taking advantage of high demand. Either by the developer or retailer.

That sucks. But not surprised. They made a big mistake by sponsoring that Cheetahmen 2 Kickstarter BS. The flames started there. Wouldn't be surprised if the incidents are related.

And there was nothing I needed to clarify, really. You assumed for no reason that I was agreeing that child marriages are super common even though I literally did nothing but say "Ick." As for the bashing bandwagon, I have no idea why you assume that having views critical of Islam is bandwagon-ish. But whatever.

ghoklebutter

OT is liberal and balantly anti-religion by nature. Asanine~ish as Fury put it. My first post was directed at those who placed the most vile and disgusting posts before mine. Yours (Ick) didn't even register as relevant in my mind. Just pointing that out.

Like you said, whatever. I miss the old ToS.

and here i am thinking 70's was a killer...

Victorious_Fize

It's purely for the money. The old man is probably wealthy enough to afford it and her parents convinced him.

Funny I'm watching at this moment a documentary on KSA. I have my perceptions and point of views on the Saudi society. They are rich sure just like the rest of the Arabian Gulf, but would not live there ever, will take any of the SHAM countries or Tunisia and Morocco in a heartbeat.GazaAli

I've seen many documentaries on Saudi. And 99% of them do not convey 10% of what it's like living in the country. Especially Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Province. They distort it by either focusing too much on the wealth of some (and make it seem like everyone's the same) or bash the conservative aspect of it. Looking for the most obscure unpopular things and magnifying them. So my advice is come over for a visit then judge. You're very welcome. Seriously.

Unless you're the minority that diss the country because of your (false) perception that we're rich and stuck-up. I've met alot of people from North Africa and the Northern Middle East who loathed me and every aspect of the Gulf countries just because he thinks we're the lucky ones while the rest of the Arab countries unfortunately live not as privilaged with wealth. It's basically a mix of jealousy and, sometimes, inferiority complex.

Again, not saying you're one of those people. Kindly do not misunderstand. I'm just saying that they do exist and take every chance to bash the Gulf. I've met them.

"The case of a Saudi man in his 90s who has married a girl of 15 has drawn widespread criticism on Twitter and other social media in the country."

"Local media reports say the man paid a dowry of $17,000 (£10,500) in order to get married to the girl"

"The girl in the latest case was so frightened that on the wedding night she locked her husband outside the bedroom and eventually escaped back to her parents, local media reports say"

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-20936800

Her folks married her off for the money. Disgusting. Also, this will hopefully clarify the situation and it'll die it down. Fat chance but it's better than nothing.

I'm from the US. I grew up in a very conservative Islamic family, especially in my early teens.

I'm sorry to hear of what you've been through. But what you're talking about is related to your family's upbrining. Not Saudi culture and definitely not Islam in general.

And about reading too much into it, it's not my fault you didn't clarify your stance from the start. You should've mentioned this earlier. By the by, you're not helping by joining the bash bandwagon. Try to distinquish your situation on these kinda topics.
