Peter Gabriel >> Phil Collins.

deathtarget04

I grew up with Phil's music (both solo and Genesis), and back when I barely knew any of Gabriel's solo work I would strongly disagree with you on this point.

However, after listening to a couple of Gabriel's solo productions, especially "Solbury Hill" and "In Your Eyes", I began to realize how he tops Collins' lyrical ability tenfold. "In Your Eyes" is especially beautiful. Though Collins has a better ear for what sounds more upbeat and musically catchy in general. He probably does it on purpose, but it's classic stuff all the same. Only time he experimented was on his "Both Sides" album and that more or less flopped.

Now to my unpopular opinions on music:

Eric Prydz deserves as much praise and critical acclaim as Daft Punk in revolutionizing the House music scene.

Deadmau5 isn't a pioneer. Some Chords 'n Stuff is his best works. And he'll probably become the next Tiesto in terms of popularity saturation. P.S. I've been to a show of his Hax Tour. The cube was more interesting than the music most of the time. So no, ain't hipster talk.

Trust me beating Ultimecia ain't as easy as beating Sephiroth or other final FF bosses(I finished FF VI, FF VII, FF VIII, FF IX and FF X). I speak from experience. But again with a decent leveling up and some side quests(hence why I had 10 hours as minimum) you should beat her without much problems.

Shinobi7777

I second this, beating Sephiroth was cake compared to Ultimecia. Was about lvl 67 Sephiroth.

But with Ultimecia I was level 100, had all my main characters at 9999 HP, ultimate weapons for Squall, Zell, and Rinoa, and all GF skills learned.

FFVIII is a game that encourages you to max out your main characters to stand a chance against the final boss. It's not that intimidating really, just get all the GFs and draw 100 of all the best magic to junction.

P.S. This thread is making me nostalgic...

Don't be doped. I could swear this is a ploy for easy money. The project is dead, deal with it.

Hell, they still have yet to end off the MegaMan X series.SF_KiLLaMaN

Canon-wise, it has ended. X7 and beyond is filler. At the end of the day, Zero sleeps after his battles in X6 and is awakened by Ciel's group in MMZ.

Heck, they'd milk another 8-bit style Classic Megaman game if they could. Technically, it's in the same situation as the X series.

Have you ever ordered anything online? Inputting a phone number when entering the delivery address is standard procedure with online marketplaces...

Final Fantasy VIII and Chrono Cross. MGS's are technically good but grainy and jagged.

From my experience, they're the same game.

Tie between 2 & 3. But 2 ultimately wins thanks to its better pacing and non-convulted plot.

I dunno about you, but I'm one of those who believe the N64's controller is a pioneer in input layout. One of the best the industry's seen.

Worst? For me, original XBOX. Those MSX joysticks were even worse come to think of it, so it's a toss-up between those two.

Ok, am I just crazy or do the Street Fighter 4 games control like molassas? I purchased the original SF4 when it was first out, and was very disappointed when I found that I could play SF3 WAYYY better because when playing SF4, all of a sudden my character simply wasnt responding to special moves anymore. I HATED the feel of the controls. Just yesterday I purchased the Arcade Edition of the game, and although it looks better and has great options, the controls still felt like crap! I used Ken and felt like at times the buttons wouldnt even respond with the moves. Every time i try to do a super move I always end up just throwing another dragon punch. I was like "wow, you're got to be kidding me."

I tried checking to make sure my controller was atually working, which it was, but still am wondering if anyone else thinks this control "feel" of the game is much slower and clunkier than the classic SF2 and SF3 games. The charaters just feel too "big" and slow in the SF4 games, in a way making them control worse. Anyway, I returned the game and exchanged it for something else. I'll stick with SF2 and 3, SF4 is freakin garbage.

metalgrinch

THANK YOU!

This is what I believe as well, word for word. SFIV's controls are NOT similar to any other SF before it. It is molasses, they do suck, and it's like trying to steer a truck with no driving experience other than a sedan. They absolutely destroyed the franchise with the controls and the DLC fiasco. I'm sticking to Alpha 3.

There is First Departure and Second Evolution for the PSP. Which one comes first? And, are here other Star Ocean games that i have to play to keep track of the story?hydralisk86

Trust me, having beaten all four console Star Ocean games (along with the 2 PSP remakes), it doesn't matter what game came first continuaty-wise. Each has its own unique stand-alone story. Only thing that factors in is one or two laws the world is governed by. But character development and historic facts of the series are pretty much not affected. Here's how the continuaty goes:

SO4 >>>> SO1 >>>> SO2 >>>> SO3
