although I never played any RPG ones.

If you're into RPGs, you should. They're fun and their stories are suprisingly simple yet interesting.

Do you have kids? Do you watch their every move 24/7? Or do you lock your console in a safe? Obviously none of the above.Weenski

I have a nephew who drops by the house every other week. I'll never let him in my room, which houses all my personal stuff, until he's older. I go as far as lock my room door just in case my parents or my brother strolls him into it for the fun "look at that! Uncle's room, nice huh? See his PC and DS? Fun, huh?" moments when I'm out. Which have happened but with no incidents.

I don't care about my consoles or handhelds biting the dust through my own use. But I'd hate to waste money on them just because someone else mis-used them.

Every single Mario game released since the DS came along is overrated. Including Mario Kart but excluding the RPG ones.

I would just read the story and not buy a game just to play it through with a walkthrough. Sounds like a waste of money. Especially when the game is a puzzle game.

Trust me, some things are just worth experiencing hands-on. Plus I wanna help out in getting the game worth localizing. I'm a fan and that's what fans do.

I could download every single game and pirate it, but I wanna support so I buy it.

I don't give a hoot about trophies. But it's funny how I almost unknowingly platinum'd Assasin's Creed II just by completing the main campaign. I think the % of it is in the 80's or something. Sold the game since then.

There's also those games like NBA Jam: On Fire where, again, I've almost got 100% just by playing for the sake of playing.

This is why I don't let my nephew near any of my consoles/handhelds. That sucks man. Take it to a repair shop or something and have the repair guy give it a go. Don't try anything yourself if it's not something you do everyday. Sorry.

Well, when I first opened my 3DS and went to update the firmware it was giving me errors with the connection. I thought it was my stupid modem's wi-fi screwing around because I have the same problems with my Android device whenever I connect to it from time to time. Few days later it downloaded fine. So my guess is that their servers do have hiccups. As long as it doesn't affect game start-up then it's no biggie for me.

Ok, way back when the first game, Curious Village, was released I bought it because the setting intriqued me, even though I HATE puzzle games to death. First 20 or so puzzles were easily solved in minutes but then I began to get stumped. Relucktenly browsed a walkthrough and I just flew with it the rest of the game. The story, especially when everything came together, made the game worth it and I was pretty much interested for a sequel.

Diabolical Box gets released, buy it, and end up with the same scenario as Curious Village before it. I recall how the ending felt like a drama movie and I was particularly moved and turned a fan by then. So worth it just for the story.

Bought Unwound Future about a year after release, but this time I just flew with a walkthrough from day one. Best story in the series to date handsdown. Then I did the same with Specter's Flute.

Thing is, I don't regret it. Fun factor was obliterated once I wasn't solving the puzzles on my own but I still had some of the best times in video game storytelling with every game. Every game more fun than the previous one. And heck, I'll do it yet again with the 3DS game.

What's your take on my confession?

P.S. Phoenix and Layton, two of my greatest experiences in storytelling, coming together in one game. That alone made the 3DS a must-buy handheld for me. Excluding Kingdom Hearts.

Tried to play it on PS2 but, after beating Vesperia before it, the loading times just killed it for me. Once I learned of the 3DS port I quit the game just 5 hours in and been waiting for it ever since. It's arriving around here in the next couple of days but in niche quantity as the store clerk told me. Solved this issue by registering a copy.

Expecting to get it Saturday if not sooner. Heck, maybe even tonight.

Ever notice how OP's threads are just simple questions and he then disappears without a trace in sight? I find it funny. It's like trolling but it aint. Genius.

On topic, the game doesn't appeal to me. I can play it for free with my bro's copy but I still don't wanna. I don't get the point of never-ending games like Little Big Planet, The Sims, and Animal Crossing. Atleast Sim City drops you in different scenarios and you can stop once you know you've beaten the challenge. Man I miss those SNES days.
