After deciding over the two, I settled on Warhammer since Im a bigger fan of the warhammer universe than the hyperborian age of conan, Ill be playing a empire witchhunter.

Ill agree that WAR does look a bit like WoW with just a duller more gritter look, but Im betting that a majority of the annoying L337 players from WoW will be going to Age of Conan, just because Conan may suit their errr tastes more,(da boobz!)

Ill probaly have to finally use my debit card to pay the monthly fee, but it seemsworth it for this game, even if it sucks, its still Warhammer, cant get enough Warhammer games.

Rome total war is the best your gonna get with games about rome.

a MMO called Gods & Heroes Rome Rising was supposed to be in production, but I recently heard that It was cancelled.

Then there are the city building roman games like Caesar IV and CivCity:Rome, Caesar IV is better in my opinion, more fun.

that rome game by History Channel had extremely bad reviews, stay away from it, sad that the people who talk about history so damn much cant even get a game about history right.

So Id say Rome Total war or Caesar IV are your only goodchoices, not many other roman games out there now a days since its falling out of popularity it seems.

played it for three or four months, it was basically just grind grind grind, got boring, and said fock this.

If you enjoy doing repetitive actions all day long to finally get some tier three armour after about a few months(or days if you have no life) then sure go ahead, if your poor blowing 15 dollars a month might not be a good idea, but then there are people like above who have good money, and look down on the poverty-stricken people who'd rather not blow 15 bucks a month for a game.

Yes, us poor people.

Its sorta like working, you do repetive tasks all day long to move up the ladder only to find someone better than you, now that I think about it it is sorta like life, cept with poor graphics, and most of the people are overweight virgins in either their teens, 20s, or 40s.

Stupid Joe: " Sure I love to blow 15 bucks a month to play in a virtual world so I can try to get the best gear even though the second I get it, four hundred other people will already be better than me, and in a few years the server's will be shut down and I will have just wasted a chunk of my life playing in a virtual world with a bunch of **** elitists, n00bz, and other "interesting" assortments of people"

So why not go outside and play life, you can dress up in fantasy clothes to make it feel like your playing WoW.

So basically what Im saying, is its not worth it in the long run, but its your choice ultimately, listen or listen to the fanboys, your choice.

Oh dear, I see a pack of rabid WoW_fanboys amassing, to the bunker!

(runs to the bunker to wait out the fourty year old WoW legion attacks.)

The only thing I can say is, if you have to even consider the price (15 a month) than you really should be spending more of your free time looking for a better job.

having a better job isnt going to make WoW play any better, the monthly price is only one of the cons of the game, I hear how people can play for days on end, and wander how on earth they manage to take it, its just doing the same repeative tasks over and over again, sure, every video game does that too some extent, but thats all WoW is, its nothing but Grind in a Box, being a high level dosent make it any funner, broken down WoW is this:

socialization + grinding+ vainity= WoW

in other games its more about a central story, WoW isnt about a central story, its just people talking to each other and grinding and questing, its boring, but I guess its cause Im one of the people who play a game for the story just as much as I play for the gameplay, these people play solely for I guess gamplay, socializing, and vainity, since the only thing that drives you foward is the thought of having the most L3373$7armour to show off to your friends.

but Im not going anywhere with this, listen to the fanboys I guess, "WoW is the greatest game in the world and only poor stupid people dont play it".

(leaves thread.)

Battlefield 2142, World in Conflict and The Witcher are the ones I would go with. If you've never played Morrowind before, but are interested, you should get that one too since it doesn't cost hardly anything by now.Litchie

He posted exactly what I was thinking, get BF2142,WiC, and the Witcher, and get Morrowind as well, its only like twenty (US)dollars I think now, or somewhere around there.

Yes, microsoft is just trying to get as many people to play the pos 360, it will probaly be out in a few months at least, also it was made by bioware, unless they've decided to become money-hungry traitorous lackeys and forget their pc fanbase, then they will definately port it to the PC.

I picked it up a year ago, since I was always hearing how great it was, and how it was the epitome of the rts genre. It was a good game, but it didnt live up to all the "post-hype" that starcraft fanboys are always talking about, good game, just not as great as many people said it was, I guess Im just biased since it came out way before my time, the graphics dont do it any favours either, and graphics have never mattered to me much, but the graphical feel of starcraft felt ancient.

I would say its worth picking up, since its such a good price, dont expect it to be the greatness that you hear about it,the online community is alive and thriving though, though prepared to getpwned, some of these people live and breath starcraft.
