though warhammer is really close, total war is the most epic.

I don't know. I'd go with Sam and Max, I guess. It's not as full blown funny, but I think that's because it had its back up against the wall. There was a lot of pressure. To pull comedic genius from nowhere as Portal has done is an amazing achievement, but it's also a lot easier - in more than one way - when no one is expecting it.

That makes Sam and Max achievment greater, since they were pressured to make something funny, and it was funny, Portal just relied solely on being totally unexpected on being humouress(?), if crysis came out and had a twist of humour in it, it would probaly be here right now being shouted as funniest game of the year, or any game for that matter that was developed as a serious game and then to everyone's total suprise had humour in it it would be up here too, the humour in portal wasnt worth anything on its own, just the fact that it took people completely by suprise.

I tend to not equate the unexpected as being the same as humour.

and personally Im still trying to make myself laugh at the "humour" in this game, seriously people, wtf?

wow, Im actually amazed/shocked that people are saying portal was the funniest game of the year, yeah...Ive played the game through, interesting puzzles, but nothing really to laugh over,nothing Glados(the AI) said ever got a laugh out of me, i understood the humour, just wasnt funny enough though,but then again Im one of the one or two people out there who didnt find portal to be a very fun game, so maybe Im biased.

buying a game and finding a 200 page manual in the box made me feel like I actually got my money's worth, I need to know everything about this game, even the last name of one of the supporting art designers who drew one of the orks in the game.

Europa Universalis III is the most recent game Ive bought that has a mdoerately-sized manual, I have read and I am on my way to becoming a lvl 30 Loremaster on video games!

yeah your going to need a new motherboard because PCIs are considered ancient and obsolete.But a few years back around the time of Doom III, my pc at the time was integrated and had that same graphics card and I was able to play guild wars, doom 3, and dawn of war near high settings pretty easily, but if your going to get a new more up-to-date graphics card your going to have to get a new motherboard that has a PCI-E card slot(AGP is meh.), since the games your describing are pretty dated you just need a average graphics card you can pick up at some computer store, Im too lazy to list all the good graphics card, so Ill just say get a card around 100 dollars USD(Im to stupid/lazy to know how much that is around canadian currency, hopefully you can.)
