Deus Ex is probaly the greatest game currently that is considered a FPS/RPG, Mass Effect though may be second when/if it is ported to the pc, since I Hear that the combat is much like a shooter, stalker was great as well.

hmm...I made a post in this thread, but now its gone(like a few others), one of the mods have it out for me I guess :P

on-topic- yeah that is hilarious, but I fear saying something on censorspot without being punished by our "great" chairmen.

pro gaming is the act of replacing fun with work, but to each his own I guess.

:( PotBS: Well, I've heard a lot of different opinions, there are lovers and haters.

By the way, I would like to find something without magic... and without aliens. Yes, yes, I know, I'm too way snooty for almost everyone, but those are my likings...

I guess it would be great if you and your Spongebob friend release a MMORPG. They talk and they are crazy, but they don't use sorcery and they aren't aliens.

I leave now, there's a Krabby Patty waiting for me. Thanks.

Minglis

how about just dont play any rpgs? your denying yourself some of the best ones ever made with these sort of restrictions, why do you think having some form of magic in the game will ruin the enjoyment? OMG you're not allergic are you?

id suggest the witcher, only 2 spells are really worth using (out of the 5) and the combat is all sword based basically, their really is no emphasis on magic.

actually a fantasy rpg lacking magic sounds like a intresting concept, it could be more of a challenge possibly, a fantasy rpg lacking elves, orcs, and magic that would be a refreshing change, games need to stop worshipping tolkien and come up with something new.

Mount&Blade has no magic involved, its just sword, axes, bows, and shields, no supernatural elements involved, but of course its still in beta, but right now you can play the game for free, its relatively fun:

other rpgs would be fallout, deus ex, space rangers 2 if you can consider it a rpg, EVE Online I beleive is a rpg, or at least has some rpg elements, no magic involved, just ships and trading, age of conan the MMO probaly wont have much magic in it due to the low fantasy theme, thats about all the games I can think of, magic has always been a major element in RPGs, probaly always will.

RK-Mara

Age of Conan will have loads of magic. Half of the cIassess are some kind of casters. Age of Conan is sword and sorcery, which is a subgenre of low fantasy. Only thing that makes Conan different from high fantasy is the lack of orcs and elves.

okay, I see, then I shall take age of conan off my "lack of magic" list.
