My newest console is an Xbox!

I haven't bought any current gen system basically because where I live (rural Thailand) it's almost impossible to get a decent internet connection and games these days seem to be lacking in single player/story modes/ campaigns and seem to concentrate on multiplayer experiences. They are also expensive I think. I 'm sure there are good single player games out there but I think like, should I buy a new console and 3 games or should I buy 20 good games for my older systems? It's a no-brainer for me. If I move to Bangkok in the future I might get a newer system.

I'd say I play an average of3 hours a day, at my age I'd consider that hard-core. (full-time job, middle aged, married). I'm happy with my older systems for now. I keep finding new good stuff for them.

Nice! Attacks from other forums! They were like: C'mon let's troll, it'll be fun. I'll go to the Legacy forum and upset the old farts there and y'all back me up mkay?

Now, let's go to the XBOX360 forum and ask why we should buy a console that lasts for 6 months when we can just buy a Genesis that lasts forever. And we won't have to deal with confusing 3D graphics and disorienting surround sound LOL

G-police for the Ps1

I would keep the story and main missions but also add stuff outside of the cockpit, maybe some sneaking and puzzling.

Better graphics (and ahem, controls). I would want the main story intact but fleshed-out. Mmmmm...

Panzer Dragoon Orta is an awesome game. Hardly rare though. Same with Shenmue 2. Someone even mentioned Halo 2, that's hardly a game "no one played". At least in Europe. Anyways, my vote would go to Mech Assault and Sudeki.

Emerald_Warrior

Halo 2, definetly very popular. But Panzer Dragoon Orta and MechAssault? Not even close to the same in popularity.

If you read the previous posts, many people mentioned Panzer Dragon Orta, that's what I mean. I never said P.D.O is as popular as Halo 2, of course it's not.

Genesis, although many multiplat titles like Rock'n roll racing and Alien 3 looks better on the SNES.

I used to have an "official" Playstation carrying bag for my original Playstation. It came free with it from some store as a promotion. Black with the original Playstation logo on the front. It was very nice and sturdy. It had an over the shoulder strap. It had a spots specifically made for the console, controllers, games, and even memory cards. I wish I would have held onto it now, it would be a nice piece in the collection.

I found a pic of it:

Playstation Bag

Probably pretty rare nowadays. Whatever happened to yours?

I used to tour extensively with a band, and I found that Pelican makes some great cases which can be easily modified to hold systems and periphera (they make a gun case that's great for PS2 slims). They're bullet-proof for check-in on a plane, you can drop them from heights (not that you would, intentionally)...

MonkeySpot

That's cool. I also used to play in a band and go on tour. Usually I just brought my GB and a few games. If we went by nightliner then we had 2 Ps2s (one on each floor) The one in the sitting area was for watching movies and the one near the bunks for playing games.

What band did you tour with (if you don't mind me asking)?

I think 2d Arcade beat em ups are still very fun. Like Golden Axe andAltered Beast. Most arcade games actually.

The ones that don't hold up well today I'd say would be the FPSes on the Megadrive.

Future Perfect. Probably the best FPS I've ever played.

SpikeyAss

I agree. It's probably one of the best games I've ever played period. I LOVE that game, and the longevity... it lasts forever!
