So, although I am well known for disliking Vettel, if we ignore that for a minute I still think I can, with some validity, ask why does eveyone think Vettel deserves "DotD"??

Why wouldn't he? Winning a race with such authority, after an impressive run on Sarurday, are perfectly valid and clear reasons, unless somebody had done something TRULY SPECTACULAR (like coming from last to 3rd, for example) that everbody was impressed by.

Of course, that doesn't mean that's the only valid opinion (Alonso did a great race, too), but not seeing why Vettel would deserve to be the DotD is unfair at best, kinda biased at worst. 

An we're all old enough to at least try to get our bias aside, we're not football fans after all!

Good for them, those Mercedes motors are actually pretty impressive, even if this year, sadly, are powering mostly mediocre cars.

Mercedes GP needs to get their tyre problem solved asap to fully show the potential of those engines.

I've been following F1 since I was 10, my favorite pilots being Schumacher and Senna. From the current roaster, my fav ares Alonso (obviously), Vettel and Raikkonen, which I consider the best ones.
