It is a great post Arcadius.. and we as PC gamers need to remember the time, not so long ago, that we had to edit autoexec.bats and config.sys just to get a game to run. Things are simpler now, but we are still "tweakers" and that is what, I think a PC gamer is.. one who makes a game run by whatever means necessary. PC gaming is about building, tweaking, moding, patching, and fixing. It takes a certain kind of person to deal with this, and not just expect to pop in a game and play like it was some sort of console. PC gaming has NEVER been like that, and I feel, never will.
To prove my point.. Arcadius, my friend, you ARE a PC gamer. I am a PC gamer, since I also do what is necessary to run a game.. Sure, I would like to just pop in a game and play.. who wouldn't.. but I game on a PC for the occational challenge that crosses my path.
I'm still trying to find a way to run Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines without a crash.. and I will continue to do so, until I find a solution. :) Yes, I AM a PC gamer.
Oh, and also a graphics whore. :P
