You know what, he spent his $50 on the game. he can throw the disk around like a frisbee if he wants. If he wants to play with cheats, what do you care? Seriously, if he wants to see what it does while in the microwave for 2 minutes, that's his perogative. No one deserves to be called a name for wanting to play a game that they spent their hard earned cash on any way they want to play it. Stop calling people names.jazilla

So long as that cheating stays in single player and doesn't drift over to using wallhacks, aimbots etc.. I'm fine.. Also, he PAID for the game.. so he can do anything he wants... he could mod it to make the lead character appear naked for all I care.. *shudders* ... but you get the point.. So long as he/she isn't "pwning noobs" by using "l33t hax" I'm cool with whatever anyone does.. :)

Hell I had problems running Myst (the first game) on Windows 3.11! Let alone XP.. lol

Myst 1 originally came out for the Mac only.. which explains the cross platform problems when it was finally released for PC..

I haven't played Myst 1 since that time.. a good 10+ years ago..

Played Myst 3.. ran like a dream.. no problems whatsoever... never played Riven though... kinda got angry with Myst 1.. lol

At least there was The 7th Guest.. :)

Since I paid the semiannual fee of 54 USD.. I will be playing Hellgate London for a good 6 months.. and nothing else.. (I'll get to you The Witcher ... I promise) Yes, the extra stash space HELPS! As well as the nice Legendary items only for subscribers.. :)

Less than 10 dollars a month? please.. I spend more than 10 bucks on two mag subscriptions.. :) So I don't really feel "ripped" off.. with the patch and the recent updates, I couldn't be happier..

Crysis will have to wait ... oh about a year.. or more.. lol.. okay maybe not THAT long.. but I only have so much time.. :P

Bojangles I haven't had ANY of those issues.. but I'm running on a P4 3.6.. 2GB RAM and a 8800 GTS with a X-Fi Fatality Pro... oh and on Windows XP Pro SP2..

I DID have those issues before they released a patch though.. Now its smooth as butter on high settings.. :) (some things turned off like shadows.. and weather effects)

Also, I've played for about a good 40+ hours.. both single and multi.. (trying different builds with a Blademaster.. see which one turns out the best)

That doesnt bother me as much as the fact that you dont use your hand when you pick up items or interact with things in almost all games. I would think that we are now beyond the point where you just walk over a weapon or item in order to pick it up, I remeber doing this in DOOM. I had hoped a decade ago when I played SS (where you had to actually "Pick up" an item) that things would change, but this is still a commonly used mechanic.Philmon

Nice Bioforge av there.. btw.. :)

Loved that game.. *cries* Origin.. never again..

I've been playing about 40hrs ... and all I have to say is it's fun.. and that is the main point of ANY game.. 7.0 is STILL considered "good".. Diablo 1 didn't really have a storyline at all.. what you got about the Sin War was given through books.. most of the enemies act VERY similar to D2 creatures.. and the hellgate portals are much like LoD.. If you think the characters are unbalanced.. just think back to patch 1.07... a Sorceress was able to penetrate Cold Immune baddies with one click on Cold Mastery.. combine that with Fozen Orb and you have domination.. this was nerfed in the 1.08 patch .. (If you doubt me.. play LoD without patching.. you'll see that it is VERY true) It will take several patches for London to get where it needs to be.. but in the end it will be an excellent game :) I personally love it... Multi is much like Guild Wars.. it may not be a MMO by strict standards.. but they did borrow a lot from it. It may not be an original game.. but it is a "good" game nonetheless..

replying as a negative comment is really low and doesnt hurt anyone's feelings so why botherprolink47

Oh, I see.. you only wish to have people that agree with you to reply.. makes discussions and anything of the like to be pretty mundane if you think this way. Who wants a bunch of "yes men"? I sure don't.. but teach their own I guess.

Only certain games off STEAM are not able to be played in Off-Line mode.. most of the games you can play off-line.. ohhh say the entire Id mega pack.. for example.. or all of Commandos... Sin is even able to be played offline.. There is a trick to it, though,.. always save a file in the game.. at the beginning or something.. then you will be able to play those games offline.. Be warned some games don't like dual monitor setups... like mine.. and require you to turn off that option before the game will play... examples are: Bloodrayne and Full Spectrum Warrior.

(this is coming from someone who has over 150 games off STEAM) Also.. all the Popcap games are able to be played offline.. :) Including Peggle Extreme

Also.. about download rate.. my average is 600Kb/s.. max being 1mb/s

pretty good speed.. better than most sites with a download rate of 150-200kb/s

If your concerned about your credit card being stolen etc.. my blog post has some pointers to help you.. :)

Anyways.. good luck and have fun! :)
