@mathi4s sure, but what's the deal in arguing about levels being repetitive and saying rayman and sm3dw do a better job about that? I mean... there's more than just one swimming-level and whatever in both of 'em, rayman AND sm3dw. Such stuff just seems a bit off.
@darkljolly @Nev3rtime yeah, it is their POV, their opinion. BUT you just cannot hold your own preferences or aversions against something.
For example: You eat in two restaurants the same meal, only difference: the chef in restaurant 1 used more salt and you just love a bit more salt on your stuff. So what about restaurant 2? Your job as a critic is not to say "restaurant 1 is the best, restaurant 2 is garbage".
And that's the problem - EVERYONE is acting like the uber-critic, no matter if it's thumbs, XXX stars out of XXX stars, or whatever, but everyone fails to see they are far from being a real critic.
Unfortunately it's most of the time the same with editors on sites like these...
How are the Levels BLAND? There's so much going on.
And how are Raymans or Marios various Swimming-Levels not tedious after some time? C'mon, it's not like there's always just ONE of a kind-Level in ANY Jump'n'Run!
Sorry, but I don't get the review. If the game is bad, well it is bad. But the points made up are more some kind of personal issues I guess.
Know what? Maybe such stuff is the reason behind Nintendos "I'm not a gamer" campaign...? Gaming is just about everything being "meh" for some years...
They say it's a new game, but what I've seen are remade levels from the SNES game. Plus: The statement "...make this feel fresh and new" seems a bit off. It's almost like that confirms this being a remake with some tiny new stuff...
However, I do hope it will be a new one, but a remake would be fine as well, since the first game is KILLER!
@iowastate Fanboy, fanboy, fanboy... That's all you people can come up with? It's gamers! If you are a gamer you play Nintendogames as well, ' cause gamers know good stuff, when they see it. Mario may be the same almost all the time, but it's still one of the best Jump'n'Runs out there. And Zelda is still THE ActionAdventure everyone tries to kinda copy, no matter if it's Darksiders or BloodOmen, or whatever else... Mario Kart is THE original Funracer and still the best on the market.
Sure,it's "kinda" always the same, because Nintendo got a shitload of mascots, but if SONY or MS had something similar, they would milk ' em just like Nintendo.
I am responsible for what I write, not what you make out of it. Read the comment I did reply to. That game never wanted to be part of the "Solid"-Series, so how can it be a discrace to it?
