Kitaa! It came yesterday!...but the packaging is rather plain and it's not that amazing to look at, I suppose. It cost me an arm and a leg...and I'm not so sure it was worth it; over $80 after EMS shipping, fees and all -_-; I did get it with some games, so well, I guess I shouldn't really count the shipping...
The Keitai (Cell Phone) Accessories Set part (on the left) has a fake leather looking strap embossed with the Hanegasaki Logo on it (and some X's). I feel kind of meh about that part. I really wanted a clear aqua blue vinyl strap...you know, like the one in my imagination :P The cleaner is nice, though. It's got a chibi mermaid Teru sleeping :D The privacy screen is nice, too. It's got a cute shell border and all. I had a privacy screen on my other cell and it made it harder for me to see my own screen, so :P Though this one is of much better quality and probably doesn't have the same problem...I just don't really feel like wasting it on my cell.
The fastener mascots are really cute. I wish there was something on the edge or something though. It looks kind of plain on the edge the way they made it. Still I like these the best of the set :)
The calender is a 2007 calender so it wasn't as old as I feared. It's mostly CGs I've seen before. I don't recognize the Feb one, though. It's really cute with Christopher Weatherfield (Kuu-chan) and Hikami-kun eating Valentine's chocolates *heart* The jikochuu (accidental kiss) collage for May is pretty cute. The caption is funny, "It's a happening." It sounds like something Russel Peters would say in one of his sketches. I like the August picture. It's the Teru-apron-shorts CG *heart* I'm pretty sure these illustrations will be in the TMGS Visual Collection book that will be out later this month. Yep, I've got that pre-ordered and will review it here!
So you can buy these three things separately or save like $5? or something (I forget) and get it as a set from Konami Styl.e The strap and a few of the fastener mascots are going on my DS today...so if you see someone at the airport playing TMGS with these straps next month...that might be me (Hmm...though to be honest, the color doesn't really go with my DS, so maybe I'll change it to something else soon...-_-;)!

So I started playing Oukyuu Yasoukyoku! It's a SLG (simulation life game) and I do like it. It's really cute (So far it's not particularly exciting or anything though...but that could be because of the characters I went for because there's hints of consiracy and stuff but they weren't solved in the story arcs I played).
You are a princess whose character is not voiced (I thought that sentence was funny):D For some reason, your whole family left without you to go out on state business. There was a horrible carriage accident and so you are the only person with the direct line/royal blood in your veins. Your father, the king Heinz? Hines? mac Lir, didn't want his nephew, Edgar, to succeed the throne if he and your brother, Cain, happened to die (It seems that the King highly disapproved of all the negative rumours surrounding Edgar), so he asked the royal doctor, Sieg, to create a "backup" Cain. Or at least this is what the royal doctor tells you right after you find out your parents are dead. He shows you this new Cain...and he has super long hair. Your brother had short hair, so you know it's really not your brother. Evidently the new Cain is a blank slate, just like a baby. Sieg says he needs 6 months to get Cain to act reasonably normal (like teach him to walk, eat, talk, etc.). After this six months it's your responsibility to get Cain educated and ready for his Coronation in a year's time. You will pick his lessons and accompany him to them if you feel that is necessary. His teachers are also the guys you can go after...
My thoughts thus far (these aren't spoilers because they're just my guesses while playing the game through the first time):
I always have stupid questions but...so what happened to Cain's body? I guess he didn't get a proper burial? :*(
If bloodlines are so important...then this Cain isn't of royal blood (or is he?!!)? Then the line ends..so he has to marry his sister, or have his sister's child succeed him? Or is that Cossette good enough? She's your and the real Cain's cousin, the daughter of your father's younger brother. What? Who is Cain anyway? And why don't they cover him up? It looks cold to have him lying there forever? only half covered...didn't he get bedsores or something? Or was he newly "made"?
Cain reminds me of Bob the cat (his eyes are crooked almost all the time). I guess he's the Taku Komori type? Edgar's pants look...pregnant XD Vincent is always fighting someone with lipstick, but the voice is a guy's?
Gameplay reminds me a lot of TMGS. You pick Cain's subjects to study for the week on Sunday and get feedback as to whether Cain did good or bad that day. You also get a "This date was so-so" type feedback at the end of dates, etc. It would have been really nice if it had a Quicksave/load, Replay and History feature. It would be nice if it had a scene replay feature as well. It took me a while to figure out that if you don't want autoplay you set the text speed to the lowest setting...duh. Autoplay is default. My M and B keys are going to be worn after this game (M = bring up Menu...so I can save like crazy. B = Back to game).
When Cain says, "My lady sister, what is the matter?" his expression looks like his sister looks like an ogre or something. How rude! I feel bad how he says sorry all the time *tear* after you tell him what he did wrong. Poor guy. He also started saying "Then I'll return to my room for today." ...so is he going to say "I'm not returning to my room today" someday?!
Edgar is mean. I bet he's the S character :P I wish I could be really mean back! You can *so* tell he and Cossette are siblings!
Sieg says beautiful, well dressed women make him nervous...so since he is not nervous around the princess...does that mean she is not beautiful nor well dressed? *kusun*
The writing is a bit uneven. Sometimes the princess talks like a modern teenager instead of a princess. I think she needs deportment lessons more than Cain -_-; Especially since she tells Cain to be more polite but talks to the citizens of the country in the same manner as Cain -_-; Do as I say not as I do? Haha.
Sieg asked me out, but thanked me for asking him out at the end of the date (they forgot to change the ending blurb to match the situation...they also said that Sieg needed 6 months to get Cain ready but if the accident was in August and you get to see Cain starting in January, that's not six months...?).
Interesting Trivia (at least to me :P):
Manannan mac Lir (mac Lir is the royal family's last name) is the god of the sea, according to ancient Irish mythology. He had a sword named, Fragarach which means the Answerer (Which is Vincent's last name, Answerer is, that is). I like mythology XD I'm that kind of geek, I suppose.
I like the game a lot. The character development for Cain is *very* well done. It's so sweet how he starts to like his lessons and tells you want he wants to study more. He gets so happy when he gets something right and just crumples when you tell him he was wrong *heart* So far I've gotten a meh-Sieg ending
(I so deserved it though. I broke the first rule of renai stalker-ing (TM -Kaoru). I went for one guy and changed my mind way half way through! I always do that on the first playthrough even though I know it's not good for my game! Argh. I'm so greedy *hangs head* ), a bad Sieg ending, a meh Cain ending and a Cain ending.
But I think they should have just left out the H scenes and gone for an EOCs "All Ages" rating. The rest of the game is great, but I feel the H scenes are bland and not very romantic; imho, sometimes they actually subtract from the story. Like I didn't do too well with Sieg, so there was no real development of his character's feelings for the princess...and it felt like they just tacked on an H scene anyway. He's ho-hum about the princess and all the sudden he's like "I can't hold myself back anymore. I must have you!" Uh, but you really didn't like the princess much? You didn't really even ask her out? At that point they should have given me a "Sieg and the princess were close friends for the rest of their days and kept in touch after the princess was married off to another kingdom." kind of ending or a "no one liked the princess that much so she was married off to the first prince that came along" ending or something.
Oh, but the really neat thing about this game is some of the scenes are animated like in Angelique! It looks really, really nice and is really cool. Actually the animated scene art is a notch above the CG art, imho :)
For your birthday Sieg gives you...Wow, how romantic...a handwritten encylopedia of herbs...hmm. Oh well. Cain always gives you flowers like it's the only thing he knows how to give, but it's kind of sweet. In an H scene for Sieg he says something, "...you needn't worry about a thing...just think of me..." that made me want to add "...and your 200 years of experience..." XD Somehow he didn't seem all that...? The voice acting was top notch, but the writing didn't impress me for this part. It wasn't romantic, it was more like "going through the motions"? Or maybe that's because I didn't do too well in the game? So uh, who taught Tabula Rosa Cain about the birds and bees? That would be Mr. 200 years of experience, right? *blush*
