Final Fantasy XII

I don't know how many of you were on my friends list 1 year ago. But non the less, 1 year ago on October 31st 2006 I went and picked up the 12th installment of the Final Fantasy series (main numbered series). On October 31st 2007 (1 year later) I beat the final boss, saw the ending, and the credits for the first time. That's right people, it took me 1 year to beat Final Fantasy XII. Well, it took me 1 year to see the ending, because I put the game off and put it off and put it off. Till around Oct 29th I said "Wait... I need to beat FFXII on the 31st of this month.". I was close to the end (just a few hours out) so I didn't have to run around like crazy. But it is strange how it took all this time for me to beat the game. I don't plan on doing the same with every game I get... but here I am thinking about Twilight Princess. No, I haven't beat it yet (my brother beat it and I saw the ending, but on my file I just got the Master Sword), and it's close to my 1 year mark on that as well. Who knows, maybe I'll get LoZ:TP done on it's 1 year mark.

FFXII was a nice game, and I loved the battle system. But with FFXII I just couldn't get into the story. And when it came to the main character... not only did he need to put a shirt on but he could drop off the face of the earth and all the party would say is "Aren't we missing someone?". Through almost the whole game he does nothing, he just says a few lines (most of the time someone else can say and be fine), and that's it. I mean he isn't the main character (even if he is...) that title goes to Ashe. Vaan was just a tag along person who did nothing and sit in the background saying "I'm a special boy". But still I liked the game, and it had some of the best FMVs in there (the big battle in the sky was great). Over all, I think it's a good game. I'm a bit biased because I liked FF numbered games so I'd have to go with a 9.0 (I did like the battle system, it was a nice big vast land, it wasn't too hard or too easy and all of that).

Stage Builder for SSBB

I'm going to have no life once Brawl comes out. XD
In Super Smash Bros Brawl it'll have a stage builder in it. And in there you can... well build your own stage and then once you're done battle on it. You can pretty much make it any way you want, you can add your own songs (well, songs on SSBB). And you can have as many stages as you want (and you can save them to the SD card. I'm not sure if you'll be able to play off the SD card, but we'll see). That's nice and all, but you want to battle online friends with your stages? Well... you can do that too. All you got to do is send the stage to someone on your friend list. Then both of you have the stage and can battle. And to top all of that off, the stages you make you can upload to Nintendo, and if it's good enough they'll pick it for a daily stage update to send out to everyone. Now the chances of your stage being picked is slim. But look at it this way, every day you get on SSBB you'll have a brand new stage to try out, an ever updating thing where the "Random Stage" is something new you can look forward to every day. With this the game doesn't really ever get old (nor does making your own stage and batting friends on it. If you're bored, go make a new stage for you and your friends).

And like the new SSBB banner thing above my post? I'm going to see if I can make a few up (one for rants, one for games, and such, one for random thing, and so on and so on). Because it looks nice and I got nothing better to do. XD

A Wavebird?

Here it is years and years after the GameCube came out and I'm just now getting a Wavebird. Now isn't that sad? XD
I pretty much got it for Brawl, I know it's months down the road but better to get one months ahead and have one, then to wait till Brawl comes out and not be able to find one. I tend to buy things just for games on games I really want. Super Smash Bros Melee I got a GameCube just for that. Kingdom Hearts 2 I got a new $40 wireless controller plus a new memory card just for KH2. A new DSLite just for Pokemon Diamond. A new 1 gig memory stick just for Tekken: DR and Tales of the World for the PSP. And so on and so on.
Now if only I could find some more money somewhere... XD

Sonic makes it to Brawl... And other big Wii and DS updates

I don't know how many of you know, but right now (at the time of this blog post) Nintendo is holding an event over in Japan. SSBB for Japan was pushed back to Jan 24th, 2008. Will we (US/NA) also get a push back date? Nintendo did say we'd get Brawl this year, but... Nintendo lies... Well one thing is for sure. Japan will have to wait till next year to get their hands on Brawl.
And as the title says. the Sega mascot Sonic will be in Super Smash Bros Brawl. This isn't a rumor, this isn't wishful hoping from Sonic fans, this is from a trailer shown at a Nintendo event with big wigs such as Shigeru Miyamoto, and Satoru Iwata. Sonic WILL be in Brawl.
There will also be some sort of online Co-Op play on Brawl.

Mario Kart Wii will also be out Spring of 08 (for Japan at least, I'm not sure if this is also for the US as well). You can also race motorcycles, and it will come with the steering wheel.

And also Super Mario Stadium Baseball will also be on the Wii (that's a new game). So we're getting another Mario Baseball game yet with Wii controls.

The Wii Vote channel will also get an update. You'll be able to rate games you've played, and search for games that matches your liking. It'll likely still have the normal voting stuff, but it'll also have where you can rate games.

There WILL be a DS Download Station on the Wii. So you'll be able to download DS demos like you can at Wal-Mart or GameStop/EBGames or other places.

Wii Ware will have more then just mini-games and puzzle games. Square Enix is making Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for Wii Ware.
And there will be Pokemon Farm. You can transfer your Pokemon from D/P on to there and do something with them. This will also be on Wii Ware.
And by the looks of it, a new Doctor Mario game will also be on Wii Ware.

For right now that looks to be it (but the event is still going on). If any new updates come in (before I go to bed) then I'll edit this.
If you haven't read my last blog post then please check out Nintendo Net. It's a good place to talk about all of this and other things Nintendo.

Phantom Hourglass and Nintendo Net

A few days ago I picked up The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. And I got to play it for the first time last night. The game looks great on graphics (for a DS game the graphics are great), and surprising plays quite well with just touch screen controls. Sure it takes a little time getting used to, and the controls aren't as slick as a D-Pad and buttons. But over all I'm surprised by how good they are (and they're also quite fun). One of the things I really like is the online battles. A bit different but really really fun (IMO). Over all (going into the first hours) I really like the game. I'm glad I picked it up and didn't wait till later to get it. If you like Zelda games then I think you'll like this one as well. Again, I'm only a few hours into the game, but from what I've saw already I really like this game.

And on to another note. One of my friends (Morkula)has started a Nintendo forum/message board. It's a new yet fast growing forum. It's called Nintendo Net, and on there we have all sorts of Nintendo boards, we have online battles and tournaments, forums to talk about Nintendo things, and also forums to talk about other gaming, and offtopic (as in non-Nintendo) things. All sorts of things. It's just a nice place to get together and discuss some things. Everything from what do you think the DS2 will have, to Nintendo kind of giving the cold shoulder to hardcore gamers (might be a Nintendo forum, but it isn't filled with fanboys). If you like Nintendo or like talking about things that has to do with Nintendo then I believe you'd like the forum.
URL to the site: http://forum.nintendo-net.com/
Drop by, look around, join the forum, we'd be glad to have you there. I'm "Arcanine" on the forum (no "_88" this time), I'm the one with the sweet Rukia theme. XD

We all saw it coming (the review score of Halo 3)

I'm not picking on Halo or anything. I don't feel like making another 20 comments in replies to a Halo fanboy (I still need to reply to them comments... maybe tomorrow). But for all of you that don't know, GS gave Halo 3 a 9.5. Predictable GS, very predictable. Here is what I said almost a month ago.
"And since I'm on scores. I'm going to make a prediction on a game. This game isn't out yet, this game comes out in 29 days, this game has a fancy Launch Center, this game will get a 9.5 or perfect 10 (my money is on 9.5), this game won't see the light of 9.0 or below on GameSpot, this game had 2 before it, this game is a shooter, this game is called Halo 3."
I love being right, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. XD

2 (well 3) new Kingdom Hearts games confirmed!

Well, I'm happy. I'm very very happy right now. Because, 2 new Kingdom Hearts games have been confirmed. Well there is a third, but it's for the mobile phone so I'm not counting that one).

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (PSP)

This game is known as "Kingdom Hearts Prequel" in my list update (the games I want list), known as "Kingdom Hearts 0" for the rumors going around.
Story Info: This game is the prequel to Kingdom Hearts. It shows the past of what happened before Sora. What was seen in the secret ending for Kingdom Hearts 2, and Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix + is what this game is about. Also the character in the Final Mix + ending who looked like Xehanort's Heartless has been named "Master Xehanort". And King Mickey is also in the game (and he's likely a main part of the game, seeing how he was in the FM+ ending). And the trailer also shows Terra standing on the beach watching 2 boys playing. It starts to zoom into them two boys and they are Sora and Riku.
Game Info: It's a Single-Player Adventure Game. It's going to be for the PSP. And the known characters in it is Terra, Aqua, Ven, Master Xehanort, Sora & Riku.

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (DS)

This is a new game, and was one of the rumored games to come out at TGS. And could be a sequel to Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (since it starts where re:CoM ended)
Story Info: This game is about Roxas and Organization 13 (we'll likely learn a lot more about Org 13, since their past as well as the Organization itself is quite a mystery). It shows when Roxas first shows up and first becomes an Organization member. And it shows that there is/was a 14th member of the Organization. So it might be Organization 14 (we'll see). This is a quote from KHU on the name (they're just tossing out ideas). "KH2 takes place 1 year after KH1 and Roxas' Story starts 7 days prior to Sora's(as far as canon goes it was 7 days). 365 days- 7 days is 358 days." This game is about Roxas, so...
Game Info: The game is a possible sequel to Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. The game is for the Nintendo DS. The game is Single & Multiplayer Adventure Game. The game is in full 3D (maybe along the lines of Final Fantasy III and IV for the DS). The game will support 4 player Multiplayer (unknown if it's just close Multiplayer or if it's Wi-Fi). Playable Roxas & Org. XIII Members (Roxas, Axel, Saix, and Xigbar where shown playable as Multiplayer in the trailer).

The one thing I can not stress more is that both of these games are two different games. The are NOT the same game, the DS version isn't the same as the PSP with worse graphics yet touch screen. It's two totally different games with totally different stories. I look at sites like PSP Fanboy, and DS Fanboy and people are making comments like "So we got the better version" or "I wish they wouldn't do like Pokemon where they have multi-versions". One game is about the past before the first Kingdom Hearts (that game is Birth by Sleep), the other is about the history of Roxas and Organization 13 (and that one is 358/2 Days). Two different games, two different systems, and two different stories.

There is a third Kingdom Hearts game, called Kingdom Hearts: Coded. But it's for the Mobile. So I'm not really counting that.

For more info as well as the summaries for the trailers click here to go to Kingdom Hearts Ultimania's post on the new info.

Super Smash Bros Brawl strikes true with online

For you that don't know, last night it was confirmed via the Smash Bros DOJO that Super Smash Bros Brawl WILL have online. You can see for yourself right here.
Now I knew it'd have online, Nintendo already said it, and SSBB will be the biggest thing on the Wii. So it had to have online. But it is very very nice to finally get "Yes people, you will have online play with SSBB". We got it before, but that was over a year ago, an E3 went by, DOJO updates went by, events and such went by and we got nothing on online play. And lots of people (even a few close to me) started saying "SSBB won't be online." and I don't blame them. We haven't had an online update since the first trailer came out. But all that changed last night with the newest update.
SSBB is goig to be one heck of a game.

The Backlog, and... 7 games I really want, and 3 I'd kill to get.

When my friends read this, one will go "GO BEAT FINAL FANTASY XII!!!!!", I got two others saying "Go beat FFXII so you can go play Tales of the Abyss", and one other saying "Go play Tales of the Abyss". I will beat FFXII soon enough...... maybe. XD

----------------------------------------

~ The Backlog

This is my lovely backlog that I should clean out before even thinking about buying any other new games. Because these are sitting here (and some almost done with) and here I am wanting new ones.

Final Fantasy XII (Almost done)
Pokemon Diamond (Almost done)
Tales of the Abyss
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Almost done)
Call of Duty 3 (Almost done)
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Mario Party 8
Pokemon Battle Revolution (Almost done)
Mario Kart 64
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Halfway done)
Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition
Streets of Rage 2
Tekken: Dark Resurrection
Final Fantasy VIII (I got so close to the end only to end up getting too ahead of myself)
Final Fantasy IX
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Metroid Prime (I rented it ages ago, but never beat it)
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

And to top all of that off. I want 4 or 5 Virtual Console games. I want the second Metroid Prime (I also rented it ages ago). I want Metroid Prime Hunters. All the Phoenix Wright games. Star Fox Command. Stranglehold. Paper Mario for the VC, and the Wii ver of Paper Mario. Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII. Okami. And all of the Final Fantasy games for the GBA and DS (well, numbered games). And that's just games that's out.

----------------------------------------

~ 7 Games I really want

These are the top 7 games I want that isn't out yet. These are the games I'm looking forward to at TGS this year, these are the games I'll be getting the day they come out (I just want them that bad).

10: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (PSP)

Final Fantasy games just click when it comes to Sony. I'm sure there are good FF games on Nintendo systems but all the ones I've played is Sony and I really like all of them. And I'm really looking forward to Crisis Core. For you that don't know, it's a prequel to Final Fantasy VII. You take the role of Zack, he got such a little role in FFVII but changed the game a good bit. So now he gets his own game and you play the events leading up to Final Fantasy VII.
It'll be added to my "Good games for the PSP" list if it turns out to be good (seeing how the PSP doesn't have all that many good games out right now). And it's Final Fantasy VII, can't complain about that.

9: Final Fantasy vs XIII (PS3)

I think this game would have rated higher on my list if it had something to do with more info about the game being out for it... All we got is like one trailer and that's it. But for me, it was enough to spark my interest, mainly because the Kingdom Hearts branch of Square is working on vs XIII. What more do I need to say on that? I mean the people who makes Kingdom Hearts is making this. And I hope we get a good bit more info from TGS this year.

8: Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (Wii)

I think out of all my mini-game games I liked the first Rayman Raving Rabbids better than any other one out there. For me it was just pure fun. And I couldn't put it down, and in the end I gave it a 9.0. Because I loved the game, I just wish it was a little longer. And now word has come out that Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 will be out for the Wii. For me this is a have to get, because I loved the first one and by the looks of it the second will be better, I mean they said it'll have 50 new mini-games, right there is good enough for me to say it'll be better. Comes out in 2 months so I can't wait to get my hands on it.... DAAAAAAAH!

7: Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk (Wii)

Tales of Symphonia for the GameCube is my favorite RPG for the GC. I just loved the game, and I couldn't put it down. And I'm very very glad we're getting a sequel to it.
Very little is known about this game. But it is a sequel to Tales of Symphonia. And characters from ToS will be in the game (the main characters in ToS: KoR isn't the same as the main characters from ToS. But they will be in the game). So maybe we'll have some closure to some of the cliffhangers in ToS *coughKratoscough*. One can only hope, and I guess we'll find out when this game hits Japan Q1 08, and I hope hits North America soon after (I don't want to wait 10 years to play it).

6: Tekken 6 (PS3)

And 6th is the 6th installment of Tekken. I hold this series above all others when it comes to arcade fighting games (I don't see Super Smash Bros as an arcade fighter). I've played all but one Tekken game (and that one is the GBA version), and if I do find them I'd buy up the ones I don't own. That's how much I like Tekken. And I can not wait for Tekken 6 for the PS3. And I hope a date comes out soon so I'll be able to plan on when to get a PS3. I've played DoA, Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, Mortal Kombat and others, and I stand by Tekken as the best (IMO) fighting series out there.
Right now with 1 trailer, and 4 new characters I can't wait for this game. The new characters looks different, and I hope they do tie up some things with Asuka and Jin Kazama (the ending video of her story leaves a few things hanging). After getting sick of DoA4 I got Tekken DR for the PSP, and now I'm ready for Tekken 6 for the PS3.

5: Mario Kart Wii (Wii)

I love Mario Kart games, and when I download the SNES version of Mario Kart I will own every single Mario Kart game. That is un till the Wii version if Mario Kart comes out next year.
I loved Mario Kart DS, and I loved how it was online. And finding out that a new Mario Kart game was going to be out for the Wii was great news, finding out it's going to be online was even better. And it's not only going to have online racing but online battling as well. Lets just hope Nintendo doesn't drop the ball on this one, I liked MKDS' online really well, I just hope I'll like MKWii's online just as good or better. And to top all of that off, we're also going to get the Wii Wheel coming with the game. So we'll see how that works out and see if it makes the game better or not.

4: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

Very little is also known about Final Fantasy XIII. The female character you see in the trailer and the magazine scans is said to be called "Lightning" (not know if this is the final name or not for her). And another character was shown in a scan. And that's pretty much all that's known about FFXIII. But what is know, she kicks butt. And FFXIII is the only game out there that makes me wish the Wii had graphics that good. Now it isn't know if it had some ingame fighting in there, there was a part in the trailer where it had attacks, hit points and so on. We all know the name "KillZone 2" and how that came out to be not so real time. But what I saw in Final Fantasy XIII made my jaw drop, and I wouldn't put it past Square to make XIII to look that good in game. Because Square knows how to get in there and push the limits of a system. To this day the FMVs in Final Fantasy X (the first FF game on the PS2) still looks great, and then you got Final Fantasy XII where you'd think it's a PS3 game (judging by the FMVs) if you didn't know better. So if anyone can pull off graphics that good in real time for a game then it's Square. Final Fantasy XIII tops the "Games I really want" list because of how awesome the game itself looks, because of the graphics, because the action seen in the trailer, and I'm not going to lie... because of the female lead (she's HOT). Many of you will see this as the end of the list, because many of you might not like the last 3 games. But I want Final Fantasy XIII, I'd get a PS3 today if I found out it was coming out soon. That game alone has pretty much sold me when it comes to the PS3. And I can't wait for what Square shows us in 2 weeks at TGS. I want a new trailer, I want more info, I want to see more of Final Fantasy XIII.

----------------------------------------

~ 3 Games I'd kill for

Well I wouldn't really kill someone for these (if I did then I'd go to jail and then I'd really get to play these), but these last 3 games round out the top 10 I want. Above all others these games is what I want to get my hands on, right now I could take these 3 and be happy and not buy another game or play another game for months and months. And I know, someone is going to say "Awww come on, why is that on the list?".
And just to round out the last list. I've got 1 PSP game on there, 3 Wii games on there, and 3 PS3 games on there. And now for the rest of the list.

3: Super Smash Bros Brawl (Wii)

Now this is a shocker isn't it? Everyone would have thought this game would take the cake for the top spot. Well it didn't. But that doesn't mean I like this game any less, I mean it's third out of all the games I want.
What more can you ask for from a game? With Super Smash Bros Brawl you got the best party game out there. Whenever I'd have friends over we'd play Super Smash Bros on the N64 (same went if we went to someone's house), and then Super Smash Bros Melee came along, and now we all had SSBM parties. And now you got Super Smash Bros Brawl. With 11 confirmed past characters, 8 new characters, new levels, and being able to play with 4 different control types, being able to have your own button layout within them 4 control types, being able to play different songs on different levels, having Assist Trophies, and having this strange single player mode. And, it's likely to be online. I know I know, a lot of you have given up hope about SSBB being online because we haven't seen anything with onlineness since the first trailer back at E3 06 when they said it'd be online. But I still have hope, I mean SSBB being online would be the best thing to ever happen to the Wii. And if Nintendo did it right, then lots of people would stop complaining about the Wii's online ways (and I'm one of them people who's fed up with Nintendo when it comes to being online). But online or not Super Smash Bros Brawl will be the game to get when it comes to the Wii, and I bet it's going to be at the top of the sales chart at the end of the Wii's life cycle (and that isn't in 2 years for all of you people who hate the Wii). It's going to be big, and is going to sale well, and I do believe that it's going to be one of the best games out there on any console in any gen.

2: Kingdom Hearts Prequel (Unknown)

I don't have a clue what to call this, so I'll go with Kingdom Hearts Prequel. Because it is going to be a prequel to Kingdom Hearts, and it's not going to be on the main numbered list. If you don't know what I'm talking about, and if you do like Kingdom Hearts then go download/watch the secret ending vid for Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix +. You'll see what I'm talking about (and you'll get a shock when you see one of the characters in that vid). I have watched that ending vid so many times, and the first time I watched it the vid didn't have any sound (the cuts later on had it), then the second version just had the song, and then came the final version of it. Each time I watched them 3 cuts my jaw was hanging open, each time I watched them vids I watched them like it was for the first time. But the first time (the one without sound) had the biggest shocker of them all. I saw a character in that vid and gave a big "OH MY GOD!". Because I couldn't believe my eyes, I couldn't believe what I just saw. This game is going to be so good (storyline wise at least, if the battle system stays the same the game will be all around good). It is hinted to be on the PSP or DS, but I guess we'll find out more at TGS this month. And at TGS I want something, a new trailer, new info, new pics, something new for this Kingdom Hearts game. Best case scenario, we'll get a new trailer to blow my mind, new info to go with it, and few pics to toss in. This game will be good, and I can not wait for it to come out.

1: Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix + (PS2)

Kingdom..... Hearts..... 2..... Final..... Mix..... +
And this just killed the whole list didn't it? And everyone is saying "Import it" or saying "It's not going to come out in North America, I would import it if I could, and for right now I still got hope. Above all other series (Final Fantasy, Mario, Pokemon, Tekken, StarFox, Tales of, and so on) I hold Kingdom Hearts to be the best one out there. One of my friends said I should try Final Fantasy X (my first FF game), and later on she also told me to try Kingdom Hearts. I didn't want to try it, I mean it's Disney and that's like kiddie stuff. Funny how things comes back and bites you in the butt. I tried it, and fell in love with it.
Kingdom Hearts 2 I really loved, it because one of my top 3 fav games, and is my second fav RPG (Final Fantasy X taking the top spot). And then there's Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix +. And KH2:FM+ is so much more, a new Form, new bosses, new battles, new cutscenes. And to top all of that off, it also has the full version of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (the GBA one) on there as well in full 3D (same looking as KH and KH2). That game has some good stuff in there, I saw one of the cutscenes and it brought me to tears (it was a ver sad cutscene), and that one wasn't in the normal version of the game. The game only came out for Japan, yet most of it's sells came from North America. So looks like Square would have switches it around (on top of that, most of KH, KH:CoM, and KH2 sales came from NA). But non the less, I want this came more than any other game out or will be out. I would love for Square to come out this month at TGS and say Final Mix + will be going to North America. I would gladly play $100-$150 for this game (that's how much I want it). I love Kingdom Hearts 2, and there is just so much more on Final Mix + it'd almost be like I was playing KH2 for the first time over (seeing how it has all the extra stuff). For the extra battles, for re:CoM, for the new Form, for the new ending, and for all the new cutscenes in the game. I don't care if this game is Japanese dub with English sub, I'd still get it without even second guessing it. So, as clearly stated, I want KH:FM+ above all other games that's out now or that's known to be coming out. Maybe down the road, when I'm able I'll be able to import it, but for right now I want Square to come out with a North American version of Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix +.

So yea, that's my top 10, and my backlog. The list of the top 10 was hard to make, all of them were so close. And in this making of this list I even switched more than a few around (all of them stayed the same, but some moved up, some moved down). That's just how close that list is to me. Maybe when TGS rolls around I'll be able to get some needed info on these games and might be able to reorder then (I don't think I'm going to do up another blog post, that's just too much XD). And maybe I'll be able to expand to my top 15 or 20 that I want. Or maybe I'll see something at TGS to be put on my top 10 list. Who knows.

Metroid Prime 3 gets reviewed on GS, gets a score of...

... 8.5.

I'm not going to go into this deep long rant on the score of MP3:C, you that will get it (or ones that already has it) already know how I feel about this score... forget that, I am going into a small rant.

First I just want to give a few quotes from other places that gave MP3:C above 8.0.

IGN: Score 9.5/10.
"as far as we're concerned, the Texas-based studio [Retro Studios] has made Wii's best game."

GameTrailers: Score 9.6/10.
"There's no better control option on any console ... You'll never want want to play a shooter with dual-analog sticks again, it's that good."

1UP: Score 9.0/10.
"No predictions for six years down the road this time, just one for this fall: load a fresh pair of batteries into the controller, dust off the Wii, and surrender a week of your life to Corruption - you won't be sorry."

GameDaily: Score 9.0.
"and this revolutionary first-person adventure with tight controls will easily be one of 2007's best games."

Nintendo Power: Score 10/10.
No quote on this one, but it should be noted that MP3:C is only one of a few games that got a perfect score. Not even The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time got a perfect score from Nintendo Power.

But as said, GameSpot as once again gave a Wii game a low score. For me, tonight was just a big flash back to the night GS reviewed Twilight Princess and gave half of the GS users a heartattack. I'm not surprised, not one bit by this score. And to add to what was said...
This is from the review of MP3:C here on GS.
"the Wii controls are terrific and intuitive", that's pretty good, something that sounds good.... oh wait... they also say "Streamlined controls make things a little too easy and a little less adventurous". Uh... the controls are perfect yet the controls make things too easy... uh... so it gets a lower rating because the controls are pretty much perfect? I'm a little confused here... So I'll just move on...
"Corruption offers its own formula tweaks while staying true to its roots, and like the previous games in the Prime series, it sends you on an atmospheric journey of discovery and enjoyable boss fights.", yea MP3:C sticks close to home but adds some new things to it..... uh... "Doesn't do much different than the previous two Metroid Prime games."... you just... said it sticks close to it's roots... and now you say it's not different enough? Is this like the time you said LoZ:TP was too much like a Zelda game?
And since I was talking about BioShock before... This is at the end of the MP3:C review "While the lack of multiplayer is disappointing". Now I look at BioShock, it got a 9.0. But it has NO multiplayer, no online, and isn't even talked about in the GS review. If BioShock has no multiplayer, and MP3:C has no multiplayer yet gets a lower score because of it (at least one of the reasons), well I see something wrong.

But like I said, I'm not surprised by what GS said and gave MP3:C. For all of you that thought MP3:C was going to get over 9.0... well you were dreaming or you didn't know GS well enough. For all of us that said "8.0 or 8.5", we were right.

And since I'm on scores. I'm going to make a prediction on a game. This game isn't out yet, this game comes out in 29 days, this game has a fancy Launch Center, this game will get a 9.5 or perfect 10 (my money is on 9.5), this game won't see the light of 9.0 or below on GameSpot, this game had 2 before it, this game is a shooter, this game is called Halo 3.
