CGI actually stands for computer Generated Image. But in this context they are using it to describe prerendered video, which means it uses almost none of the hardware to display.

Everytime you see something using the "in game" engine it's running real time off the hardware and right now hardware can't support real time what CGI looks like. It's getting closer though. Some In game cutscenes are hard to distinguish between CGI but it's close.

Very interesting! So do developers know how much they can eek out of the PS3 yet i.e. exactly how close we can get to CGI? I remeber God of War cutscenes on PS2 looked amazing. Can games run a CGI video at all?

I ask this because of Dead Island, trailor vs. screenshots. Why can't an entire game be as crisp as a CGI video?

What is the best site to watch video reviews? GS, IGN, or Gametrailers.

So would you avoid the Nook color for an ereader? You should probably just getan iPad if you are going to do that, right?

I need to read a little more about the Nook. Can you just buy it at a Barned and Noble? That certainly makes it easier too.

I have the ectaco jetbook lite. It works great with pdfs and txt files as it doesn't have to resize them. It may take AA batteries but that bulge from the battery area is a great area to hold the ereader. Has an awesome page turner on the left side where you hold it. It is compatable with the Barnes and Noble NookBook library so book availability isn't really a problem. It doesn't have the extra features of the kindle or nook but if I want to use the internet I will use my laptop anyway. I use some rechargable Rayovac batteries. I get about 20 hours of reading time. I have yet to test the standby time though I have left it in standby for 35 days at the longest and it still fired right up and had 3 out of 5 bars of battery left.

I don't like the kindle as it does not work with epubs so you can throw out ever checking out books from a library. I honestly would say get either a refurbished nook or a jetbook lite with an sd card.

What are the Nook advantages?
