I don't think you should worry about a poll on G4.   Most of the people on there, don't know much about anything, seeing as G4 isn't really a game channel anymore.

It's all opinions, alot of people don't like RPG's.  Does that mean Oblivion sucks?  No, alot of people love RPG's and Oblivion the same. 

 

The Xbox 360 and PS3 are next gen by having much more graphics capabilities, whether or not the developers utilise it. The Wii is next gen because it offer much more gameplay capabilities, whether or not the developers utilise it.  All three systems are selling just fine, I don't see the need to argue.  I play games to have fun.  I don't know about you people. :|

I got my new issue of Nintendo Power recently, they had an article about this new Wii game.  I don't see it on Gamespot, the graphics look really really nice.  You also control your squad with movement signals of the Wiimote!  This looks like the first third party game using the Wii's horsepower like it should be used!  I will try and post scans if I can.

I'm not going to admit the Wii has poor hardware. Because it doesn't. It just isn't on par with the other consoles, haven't you people learned that it isn't trying to be? Nintendo could have easily made it graphics wise, on par with the others. But they "did not want to compete" with the others this time around. The last time they did they had no third party support. So they did something new. For that, people won't stop complaining about the Wii's graphics capabilities when all along we have known that it wasn't going to be outstanding.  Meanwhile, the PC gamers are laughing their asses off, because all the console players do is wine about each other's systems.

Graphics can still be great even if it isn't on par with the best of the best. They are still great. Yes, there are many titles that I will admit look ugly. But don't complain about it when all along you knew it wasn't going to look like the 360/PS3. I and many other Nintendo fans are fine with that. The only people I ever see bringing up things about Wii's graphics are Microsoft and Sony fanboys. Now hear me, I said fanboys, not fans. There is a difference.

I can't stand it when people laugh at some of the Wii's games, when the Nintendo fanboys could pick the worst looking 360/PS3 games and laugh at them as well. I think some people need to grow up here. Look at it from a GAMER standpoint. All you are doing to yourself when you bash the other systems is limiting yourself to games. Does that make you a gamer? Seriously. I thought games were meant to be enjoyed, it shouldn't matter what freaking company releases it.

Ok, well I've made my point.

Right... right. I forgot that one game determins the power of a console. Thank you for showing me the light. :roll:

By the way:



I couldn't really care less if you think that this game has "N64" graphics.  Because nothing had "N64" graphics since the N64.   The game looks good and will be fun to play.  What the Wii is about.  I'm not saying the 360/PS3 can't be fun.  I'm just saying that since we have had better graphics since the start of games.  Anytime something new comes along people shun it, and say that it sucks.  They nitpick at the graphics because that is all we have ever upgraded before.

Most of the game yes, does look bad.  It was in development for a while,  but it was also rushed trying to keep up with the launch.  The lighting effects in paticular.  Look very, very good.

I don't know 100% that devs aren't spending time on making the graphics better.  I'm saying that when you compare them to games like Mario Galaxy, you know something isn't up.  Devs have the possibility to make the games look good.  So far I haven't seen a third party game come close.
