The end of 2007 looks to be a very promising year. Here is a list of games I will buy by the end of winter;
1, Grand Theft Auto IV (Oct 16 2007)
- Grand Theft Auto IV will be amazing. I don't really have to see any more gameplay or trailers to know this. Rockstar has not and will not disappoint fans of the GTA series. I'm kind of upset that GTA isn't getting as much recognition as Call of Duty, Halo, Mass Effect or Bioshock. Hopefully when it comes out and gets the first 10/10 on Gamespot people will see it's greatness.
2, Mass Effect (Nov 2007)
- I'm a casual RPG player but I always like the epic stories they tell and Mass Effect is no different. Like Oblivion was my first Bethseda game, Mass Effect will be my first Bioware game and I am stoked. I never was really a Star Wars or Star Trek fan but sci-fi space games always interested me and I'm pretty sure Mass Effect will be a perfect start to an epic game trilogy.
3, Halo 3 (Sept 25 2007)
- Halo 3 is like my peer pressure game. The only reason I'm buying it is because every person on Earth who owns a 360 will buy it. I never understood the greatness of Halo and probably never will but I'm sure it'll give me some great online experiences.
4, Burnout Paradise ( Jan/Feb 2008 )
- Burnout Revenge is the best racing game of all time in my eyes. I hate realistic racing games because I'm not a huge car person. But the Burnout series has always had great music and a great concept of racing and Paradise will probably exceed my expectations.
Games I will play for sure;
1, Two Worlds (July 31 2007)
- Hopefully this game will be good. I know it won't be Oblivion great but as long as it gets decent reviews (7.5-8.5) I'll probably pick it up cheap. I just hope the 8 player co-op experience is great and not laggy at all. The co-op is what makes me really excited in this game. Imagine playing Oblivion with 8 people .....that's what Two Worlds is except not as great...probably not as great.
2, Blue Dragon (Aug 21 2007)
- Not much to say on Blue Dragon. It'll be a great RPG so I hope that it gets the recognition it deserves and I probably will pick it up if I enjoy it.
3, Bioshock (Aug 28 2007)
- Bioshock is the talk of the town and I'm sure that it'll be a great experience. I'm still unsure if I'll like it but looks like it'll be a fun gaming experience. My friend will probably buy it so I'll just borrow it off him after he's done. But then again I might just buy it because it'll be my last hurrah before school.
4, Eternal Sonata (Sept 18 2007)
- Again, not much to say on Eternal Sonata. I'll borrow it off my friend. It's going to be a great game but not a game I'll buy.
5, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Nov 2007)
- Modern Warfare has a chance to be better than Halo. I'm sure it will be but who knows. If it gets great reviews and is alot more like Call of Duty 2 and alot less of Call of Duty 3 I will probably pick this up right away or in the next couple of months.
6, Assassin's Creed (Nov 2007)
- Again, I never liked Prince of Persia and I hated that it got more recognition than Beyond Good and Evil but I'll probably play Assassin's Creed because I'll borrow it off a friend. I have no high hopes of the game but it'll probably be at least entertaining.
7, Army of Two (Nov 2007)
- All I will say about this game is this; If EA doesn't mess up this could be a great game.
8, Lost Odyssey (Nov 2007)
- Like Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata, may be a hit or miss RPG.
Also games for system's that I do not own that I am excited about;
1, Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3) (March 2008 )
- The best fictional series of all time. I'd rather watch it than play it. I am pysched to see the conclusion of this epic series.
2, Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) (Dec 4 2007)
- The best fighting series of all time. This game might make me buy a Wii...might.
3, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS) (Oct 1 2007)
- I'll borrow a DS off my friend to play this game. I've loved all of Zelda's handheld games especially Link's Awakening and the Minish Cap.
