@texasgoldrush Yeah they did a post explaining that they were out of money and simply needed a final push to fund the rest of the game. I admire their honesty

game actually looks kinda sick tbh. Very few good story-based two-player co-op shooters out there.

@n64ra: Very supportive fan base of an extremely small team of less than 30 people total, presumably all working from home. Constant sales of Postal 2 and the expansions plus being one of the highest-sold Linux games when Steam for Linux launched. Postal Redux recently dropping on PS4/Switch (I just ordered a physical copy from LimitedRunGames and bought the digital copy. Guess i've bought that game 4 times lol). They sell lots of merch like talking krotchy dolls and shot RWS signs on their website. They also do sketch comedy on Youtube and have a monthly podcast. Licensing for the Postal movie probably brought in a ton of money. Postal Brain Damaged is also in development which looks amazing.

I feel like they're just goofing around making whatever the hell they want. I'm sure their company overhead costs are very low. They'll probably just be around as long as they feel like being around aha

@duron2: Probably not locked on any recent games. Still possible to get close with DLSS Ultra Performance Mode with RTX Off and optimize your settings. Any drops are negligible if you have variable refresh rate as well

@pillarrocks: They are. Remade in Unreal.

My dude that's exactly what the article that you're commenting on is about though. It's literally the headline lol

@n0matter: I was replying to alienfreaks. My point is that if you play it at high res and 60fps it doesn't feel any worse than a modern platformer game, so it does hold up lol

@alienfreaks04: I think it does. I started playing it for the first time about a month ago. Super good game. Im on PC at 4k/60 with a controller and man trust me its very playable. Feels better than a lot of more recent platformers tbh

@goldenageplayer: Man, i don't think you realized how much free DLC Respawn gave us over the years for Titanfall. There was no season pass for the game either - every map, new titan, new weapons, etc were all just free for years. It added micro-transactions but they're just cosmetic. Comparing it to CoD is kinda weird as well since this came out long before CoD ripped off their formula. The arcadey feel of running, sliding, jumping, hovering, and slinging yourself around with the grapple hook is just amazing.

You should really try it out. It's way better than you think it is
