Resistance 3, if you're after a great single player FPS.

Uncharted 3 for me.

Could have been Skyrim, but I tend not to vote for broken games (on my chosen system) as GOTY.

Can anybody confirm the quality on PS3, is it really as terrible as some say? Surely some improvements have been made via patches since it's release. I'm really not bothered about Team Fortress 2, I doubt I'd play it much even if it was fully active.

I can pick it up brand new for under £10 here in the UK, so no worries about availability and cost.

Any more advice people? Would be great to hear from somebody with the PS3 version to confirm potential performance issues.

Both are great games in my opinion, however I think Killzone has the edge overall due to it's vastly superior (IMO) multiplayer, although Resistance 3 does edge it in terms of single player.

As thread title suggests, do you guys think the Orange Box is still worth picking up on PS3?

I am generally into the more 'intelligent' or single player focused FPS's and I love the original Bioshock, think Deus Ex: HR is one of the games of the year and am currently really enjoying a campaign run through on Resistance 3, which I finally picked up this week.

Reading up on some of the reviews, when it was released back in late 2007, it appears that there were some frame-rate issues and it wasn't the best port, has this been amended by any patches or anything, in the intervening years?

I appreciate that Team Fortress 2 will be all but dead online but I'm not interested in that, so all is good. I'm also eager to have a blast through the original Portal before picking up the critically acclaimed Portal 2 pretty soon.

So yeah, Is this worth grabbing for about a tenner, or not, because it's a terrible port or has aged badly?

Just ordered plus, downloading destruction derby the now :-) how do i know what other games are free do i need to just look through every game?

On the EU Playstation Store there's a section marked 'Playstation Plus' on the front page, you just click on that and you will see all current offers available with Plus. I imagine it would be the same with the US store if that's where you're at pal.

Bear in mind though, that Playstation Plus updates at least once a month and is currently updating every couple of days due to the 12 days of Christmas incentive, (again here in the EU) so it's well worth keeping track of what's on, every so often.
