Before some of you guys post anymore get your facts straight please....

These are North American numbers only andthru last week since inception:

There are 1.6 million Blu-ray players of which: 1.5 million are PS3's and 100k standalone players.

Blu-ray has sold 1.5 million movies which is a .9375 attach ratio, meaning that there are more players than discs sold.

HD DVD has sold 155k 360 add-ons and 150k standalone players which is a total of 305k HD DVD players.

They have sold 1.2 million movies which is a 3.9344 attach ratio.

[QUOTE="-The-G-Man-"]The reason people complain is because most people intend to use it primarily for playing games, not Blu-ray. And if you were to compare the PS3 games side-by-side to the 360, the PS3 would lose.Blayrre_D

Nope, I have no intention of using it to train to become a criminal.

Do you want a cookie or something for your BD movie collection? I have just as many HD DVD's, but you don't see me posting pictures of them.

Plus you don't have NIN: Beside You in Time. It is a must for anyone who has Blu-ray or HD DVD.

[QUOTE="FlamingFlamingo"][QUOTE="rudols"]

I am not sure why people are complaining about the PS3 price. I for one have a 360 and a PS3 and I can tell you in terms of features and quality PS3 beats the 360 hands down. Now that Blu Ray is taking off it makes it even easier to justify the 600$ tag. The Blu Ray movies look fantastic. If you really do a side by side comparison of the PS3 and 360 features you will clearly see the PS3 is worth the extra $$$ in my opinion.

Even though I have a Wii, 360, and PS3 I find myself using the PS3 more than the Wii and 360.

HD DVD is dead! It is a fact after the Blockbuster annoucement. So if you buy a 360 + a Blu Ray player you are going to pay a way more than 600$. If your just buying it for games than I can see why 600$ might be too much but if you look at the total package it 's a great deal hands down.

Blockbuster doesn't decide the Format War. HD DVD will win. You may quote me.

right, but the fact that every movie studio but 1 is on blu ray, and nothing is coming to HD DVD this year kinda hints that its done. i think lots of people will quote you on that, and you will have to eat it.

HD DVD will have no more releases this year

Here is the release schedule for HD DVD that have confirmed dates link If you count they have more than Blu-ray does for the rest of the year. Blu-ray's

[QUOTE="BadAndy642"]So is Sony asking themselves, "Was is worth killing the PS3 to beat HD DVD in the format war?"Blayrre_D

Yes.

Movie industry > Game industry.

Do you know how much the game industry bring in a year in revenue. I know that DVD player and movies brought in $26 billion last year?

Blu-ray hasn't won the war yet, but it is leaning that way.

Animal Farm by George Orwell. It is one of the most famous satirical allegories of Soviet totalitarianism.

The Lorax by Dr. Suess. The book is commonly recognized as aparable concerning industrialized society. It is also banned from many school libraries, and is considered Suess's most controversial work.

When I graduated High School, I got a 1991 Honda Nighthawk 750cc. I graduated in 2003, but it was still cool.
