[QUOTE="king_bobo"] LOL  I can tell a lot of people are looking forward to this game. I haven't played the first two, but having experienced the 2009 E3 demo, and say that I don't think their hopes are misplaced :)king_bobo

Get the collection! You won't regret it sir.

Oh I plan to, believe me. I'm going to go through the trilogy in one epic marathon, methinks ;)

You lucky dog. I kind of wish I hadn't played the first 2, now, to do the same :P Not to mention it's gotta look phenomenal in Hi-Def. Unfortunately there's too many games coming out that my PS3 keeps crying out for so I can't really spare the Collection anything but a rent before the third game comes out.

You guys just reminded me that I'm going to be broke this year :P God of War 3 all the way, anyways. Crysis 2 comes second, really waiting to see how it compares graphically to other games and its PC counterpart. The PS3's lineup really makes me think it's going to have a 2009 repeat (you can't deny it had the better exclusives this year.) Although, this is the first year that the 360's lineup makes me want to buy one. Alan Wake in particular looks really appealing.

[QUOTE="Saturos3091"]

Before Crysis it was Gears Of War, and the "Crysis"-like titles of last generation (games that really pushed then current-generation hardware to the limits) were HL2 and Doom 3.

Ondoval

In 2004 Far Cry and Riddick, in 2005 BF 2 and F.E.A.R., then Gears and a few moths after S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Then arrived Crysis, and aside some aspects as size in ArmA II, animations in KZ2 or water physics in Cryostasis, is a no-contest.

You picked animations in KZ2? UC2's animations were just phenomenal, seriously life-like actions there. Not sure about KZ2, but UC2's were mocapped. Yes I've played both games. Crysis still looks way better though.

Best console for single player? Probably the PS2. Phenomenal line-up. PS3 next, I agree with the guy who said the 360's more like an online console. Definitely beats the PS3 on that front. Keep in mind I've started gaming with the PS2 though, never owned a Gamecube or anything. As for the games, last gen was God of War or GoW2 no doubt. This gen, so far, Uncharted 2 just blows everything out of the water. Really makes you feel like you're headlining your own movie, it's just got some great action and set pieces (and gameplay of course).+

Should be fine. You should be able to connect to the online stores too. I have a PSN account for Ireland, USA, UK and Japan.havokmaster
Quick question, can you buy from the US Store using a credit card? I really want to get Wipeout but I can't find a hard copy anywhere and there isn't a store where I live. Also, can anyone give me an address that's useable for creating the US store account? I always try my sisters (she lives in Florida) but it always says the address is invalid, no matter how many ways I try to enter it. I think I'd be connected to a Europe server, it's basically the same region (BD-wise).

whats your upload gonna be? if its anything below 256k its gonna be laggy..

I checked the provider's site and it's 256k, thankfully.[QUOTE="shabab12"][QUOTE="Adziboy"]Should be enough to play lag-free. Maybe the occasional hiccup, but it should be fine I think. When you connect a mic, you can choose to hear the voices on either the TV, speakers or through the mic. And it should be fine where you live. There's people from all the world on these boards, so you should be fine. You can't buy stuff from other stores though.

TBH i dont think so. 1MBPS and he is probably connecting to UK or US hosts. My guess is that it will lag quite a bit.

Sure hope not :P I don't think it will, but what do I know.

[QUOTE="BadBoy_97"]So far bought some games, and have begun trading in for games though I plan to start renting soon. 2 games that I have I don't plan on keeping. Trade ins for GoW3 and FF13 since I want to keep the former as a permanent buy and the latter will take me a while to get through, so I won't rent it. Unless a game I desperately want comes by, I won't buy.Especially with no means of multiplayer (for now). UC2 and GOW3 being the only exceptions so far, those are just keepers.NotAFurry
So you have two games for the PS3, one of them Uncharted 2. And you plan on trading them in? You don't like the feeling of actually having a game near you to keep you warm?

UC2 I'm keeping. Got more than 2 games by the way, never said I only have 2. But so far none appeal to me enough to keep permanently aside from Uncharted 2. I'm going to play UC1 once more for the sake of the story then trade it in. Once I have like 5 games I plan on keeping permanently, I'll stop trading in, continue renting, and buying anything I'd want to keep. Reason I'm doing this is because I only just got the PS3 like a month ago. Both a great and horrible thing there are so many games I want to catch up on. That's why I'm going to rent and play though as quickly as possible. 2010's a busy year in itself.

I don't live in the States, I'm actually in Lebanon, but I'm getting faster internet soon (1Mbps download - yeah I know it sucks but around here it's like really fast) and I'd really like to play online with a headset - my question is, if I have an account for this country, can I play online? I know I can't access the store and stuff but in-game online play should suffice. Also, is 1Mbps download (not sure about the upload but it should be decent, less than the download though) enough to play it lag-free?

Random (possibly noob-ish) question: If I don a headset with mic, I can still hear the game sound right? How about if I just hook up a USB mic to the PS3 and forget about the headphones all together, would the game sound + other players' voices be on the TV speakers?

Thanks in advance.

To get it out of the way, I'm more of a PS3 guy than a 360 guy. That said, Natal looks like it has potential. Huge potential actually, but it could also be a great failure. You know the saying "the bigger they are, the harder they fall"? Yeah, that. It's really ambitious and if it has flaws, it's gonna suck. Plus, even if it doesn't, there's also the matter of in-game interaction. The Wii seemed interesting to me, but when we got one at home (not mine by any means) I discovered just how much the concept is flawed. Sure, it's fun to swing a tennis racket, but the gameplay is too damn dumb to keep me entertained for more than 10 minutes. You don't move the character or have any control over where the ball goes for the most part. The interactivity is far from the real thing. In a word, I hated it. Natal however can be the opposite if done properly. If it can sense movements accurately and actually recreate real life situations properly with good physics and such, it would be amazing, and the first reason I'd see to get a 360 (that appeals to me). It definitely seems amazing, playing a shooter with the actual aiming done using some accessory gun sensed by Natal and actually doing the shooting and walking and such. I'm sure this won't happen directly, but if it does, it's seriously amazing. Shooters would be so much more enjoyable if you can actually feel the shooting. Not too interested in Natal as a casual gamer attraction - Wii failed at that, Natal's casual games are probably going to be epic fails as well.

FFXIII comes out before GoW3 and possibly Heavy Rain. Oh and as for Dante, gonna read the reviews before I get that. If they're good I might pick it up. It'll never be a favorite like GoW for me, but it's worth a rent if it's a good knock-off, at least :P Will just finish it quickly and trade it in.
