Sorry, guess I read "didn't destroy" wrong in your post. Doesn't matter anyway, I'm not the type to compare games I haven't played. System Wars are kind of pointless, I mean each console has its points of excellency and weakness (looking at you, PSN, and the cheap value of the 360). And as far as games go, same thing. Oh and about UC2 just being Uncharted with a few new tidbits - it's a sequel sir, can't be much else unless they decide to recreate the whole gameplay which you can't really do with a shooter. As far as sequels go though, Uncharted 2 was heaps better than the first. The gameplay was significantly better, graphics, story, controls, settings and set pieces, etc. It was just loads more fun, and that's saying something, considering UC was no slouch in itself. Here's hoping UC3 is as great :) Looking forward to GT5 (can't play Forza 3, shame) - it'll be my fist sim. Not sure how I'll feel about it but I think I'll at least like the graphics enough. And for the record, I wasn't sorting games by order. Some games just can't be compared as to which is "better". For example, you can't compare an FPS to a driving game in any way aside from how much you enjoyed each. And considering each person has a preference, it's completely opinion based so you can never come to a conclusion.

[QUOTE="zekere"]

Love the topic . this, ladies and gentlemen, is why Uncharted 2 is game of the year ! It not only destroys every othe 360 game , it is miles ahead in terms of graphics .

Opinions rule! I love Uncharted 2, but it didn't destroy my ODST or Forza which I hope to open on Friday. It is possible to like games without them competing in some BS status game. Really, it makes the game it self enjoyable when there is no imaginary competition placed on it.

Ok, hold it, I'm in a bit of shock here. So you love UC2, but claim ODST and Forza (which by the way, you can't compare to UC2, what the hell?) are better games - yet you haven't opened them? And I thought your sig meant that you weren't much of a fanboy. Unless I misunderstood your post or something.

Wow, fanboys can really be hypocrites can't they? I'm generally a PS3 guy myself though I do enjoy playing the 360 over at friends', especially considering it has some great exclusives that I always like to play. That said, I don't half regret getting a PS3, as I do believe it's a way better value and has the games and exclusives that I, repeat I, prefer. Not speaking for anyone else. Anyway, 360 fanboys being hypocritical: all of you who loved GTA4 would've been bashing the **** out of it if it wasn't on the 360 now. Same'll go for FF13. Same for any other PS exclusive that came to the 360. Same goes for PS3 fanboys, don't get me wrong. If you want to prove yourself right, at least DO that - give proof. Wow. I agree with that guy's sig - if you feel the need to remain loyal to a billion-dollar company for whatever reason, you need to get yourself checked. Just admit it if you're wrong and actually give proof if you're right. By the way, loved the thread title :) Oh and, UC2 really was the best gaming experience this year. Kind of stating that as fact because, well, it was. Nate stands up there with Snake and Kratos as the PS3 greats for me, they're definitely my favorite characters. UC2 is the first game I've actually WANTED to platinum, and I think GOW3 will be the second. Definitely deserves GotY, and I do hope it wins. But that said, Arkham Asylum and AC2 were both great and deserved it too (haven't played DA:O or Demon's Souls - though I might later - so can't speak for them). But I enjoyed UC2 most and props to it for having replay value in a single player campaign that spans over 10 hours. Normally I just wouldn't be bothered to replay, but the experience was too enjoyable :)

Games I've played of the above: Tony Hawk 3, MGS4, GTA4. Of those MGS was probably the only one that deserved it. Tony Hawk was amazingly fun but holy $hit come on that's not a 10/10 game. GTA4 - 9, I think. Pretty fun and good game but the thing is too damn repetitive. After a while it just becomes a chore, and feels like it drags on way too long. MGS4 on the other hand, provided you enjoy the cutscenes, really did deserve a 10. It DID push the boundaries of games, and it could not have been improved in any way. Great stealth and gun gameplay, phenomenal story, amazing graphics, and amazing boss fights. Pretty perfect from every aspect.

How did it become a system wars thread? I'm not a fan of the Wii's casual games though I think the gameplay was a really innovative idea, and as for Natal, the thing looks amazing, and will almost no doubt be better than the PS3's controller if they manage to pull it off perfectly. I was merely observing all 3 sides.

On a side note, doesn't the controller create some gameplay issues? I mean, if you're playing a game with a sword and someone strikes you and you block using the sword, the sword budges down in the game - in real life you obviously won't. Then what? Oh and if someone creates motion sensitive gloves that detect your hand's positions alone and what you're holding for example, that would be pretty amazing. That's just like reality and allows probably infinitely more detail than any controller in your hand, motion sensitive or not. Example: throwing ninja stars using your hands instead of a stick controller. Shooting. Using a sword. Anything, really.

Based on the demo I saw, it's really amazingly accurate. Now, to be sure, that's not always a great thing. Say you're playing a FPS, the aiming might vibrate when you want it stuck on only one point. Plus you'd have to hold the thing up the whole time and I sometimes play shooters for hours, for example.

Not to mention in the demo the guy couldnt even manage to hit the tennis ball even once.

And my last issue is the graphcs. I know it was a demo, but unless the graphics are the exact same as when using the normal controller, I'm not buying it. Imagine playing a shooter with childish 3D graphics like the demo - no thanks. And I'm not a graphics-centric guy either. If you can play, let's say, Call of Duty 4 using the thing, and the only difference is the controls (guns look just as realistic as normal but you feel like you're really aiming), then I'm sold.

Not to mention the idea of using it as a sword and the DS3 as a shield. Pretty good idea. It looks like a pretty good idea, considering Sony can pull it off well. Not much of a fan of the casual games the Wii offers at the moment. Hopefully it'll be implemented well into the heavier games and such. Same goes for Natal, even though I never use a 360, but it's a good direction for games to go for the future.

Speaking of Natal, while the technology behind it must be ingenious, it might just be a bit TOO ambitious and kind of fail. Can't really go running around just to play Halo using Natal or something. Maybe it would come with a rotating treadmill though. And a Natal gun for shooting. Yeah, create this whole room dedicated for the one game.

Being sarcastic, obviously, though say we head that direction someday. And instead of playing using the TV you'd actually be playing the actual game using your own body, all the while seeing the game as if you're actually in it (360 view). Now THAT would be interesting to see.

All the same, I'm sure I'd never want only the option of a motion controller. While it may be fun to live the action once in a while, sometimes it's just more comfy to sit back and use a controller to blast your way through a video game.

Anyway what do you guys think of the controller?

Haven't signed up for the PSN yet (still upgrading the firmware to do that) but was just wondering - can you for example get the original Prince of Persia? Mario by any chance [even if it's Nintendo]? Final Fantasy VII?

[QUOTE="BadBoy_97"]Just Googled a bit more, for images of the back covers of the Uncharted 2 in particular. The US version is different than one marked "Region 2". It's a completely different back cover. US: http://www.vgboxart.com/boxes/PS3/32668_uncharted_2_among_thieves.png Region 2: http://www.mobygames.com/images/covers/large/1257199391-00.jpg The US one doesn't seem to have a region label if I'm not mistaken. Seems like either only region 2 games are encoded or the label means nothing. Good thing both ways. That IS the US cover/back, I assume?Everiez

Region 1 (US) label located at the side/bone of box with BLUS code, ESRB rating in front.

Region 2 (EU) label located at the back of box with BLES or BCES code, PEGI rating. Sometimes accompanied by German rating and Australia rating

Region 3 (AS) label located at the back of box with BLAS or BCAS code, handled by SCEJ or SCEH (Hongkong). Mostly no rating label.

Region 4 (AU) label located at the back of box with BLES code, Australia rating.

Printing location can be found at the back of box if you read it.

Well do the regions matter or are they only for info like previous posters said?
