Judging by the texture quality of alot of PS3 games, it wouldn't be.

Because the gaming industry was stagnating, and people started to want something different from the same old gameplay mechanics repeated ad nauseam over the last thirteen years.

It cost what, like 30 million to develop? That means they have to sell half a million to break even. Historically though, they sell about 4-5 million. I think they'll be ok with their 270 million dollar profit.

thats not even close to how it works, u dont just go "ok 60 times X and thats the cost...the developmental costs, plus production, the pay for the people making the game, the share of the retail stores, sonys share...games arent 100% profit

The point is that Konami is a Company, and for companies enough ISN't enough.

If you put this in context, it means that another MS console is inevitable, and it'll probably be their best.

Their gaming division has gone through everything bad this industry could possibly throw at it - shortages, shoddy hardware, scratched discs, overheating, aethetics, compatibility, next-gen media, etc... I think all these problems will be ironed out by next gen and they should deliver an awesome console.

In any case, Cow's are waiting for MGS4 because they think it'll save their PreciouS3 from commercial oblivion, whilst Lemmings know SC will just be another great AA/AAA to add to the collection, plus there are better games coming out in the interim like Mass Effect.
