I don't have a clue how to build a PC, and i'd say a good 95% of the population don't either. This is why console gaming is such an advantage - streamlined, easy to use, and, in most cases, just as powerful. How PC gaming get's compared to console gaming in general is beyond me.

Here is what you would need to play BioShock at it's reccommended requirements, and how much it would cost (with exchange rates):

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo processor - $258.98 AUD = $238.00 USD
2GB System RAM - $260.00 AUD= $233.00 USD
DX10 - NVIDIA GeForce 8600 - $310.00 AUD = $279.00 USD
Sound Card - Sound Blaster X-Fi series - $304.00 AUD = $274.00 USD

= $1132.98 AUD or $1024.00 USD

And that doesnt even factor in other gaming essentials like:

300 GB HD - $199.00 AUD = $178.00 USD
19" WIDESCREEN LCD Monitor - $278.00 AUD = $250.00 USD
5.1 Surround sound speakers - $199.00 = $178.00 USD

[QUOTE="Adrian_Cloud"]360= One trick pony.. no other games will have near the same sucess.
The exclusives keep going multi-plat and great franchises keep dying off.
it will have to be more than one franchise that will carry 360 till the next ms console.
Gears, Mass Effect, Bioshock sequels, RE5, Forza series, Alan Wake.
dobbywii

Yet multiplatforms do better on 360. Look at BioShock.

for now.....dont forget there's a massive wii shortage

Where are these "Wii shortages" ? Perhaps at christmas '06, but not as often now - for months I have been able to walk into any store and purchase a Wii.

Nintendo must manufacture about 4 Wii's per day to keep the hype going

[QUOTE="Viviath"]Bungie is independent...i wonder where u'll be when their first Wii/Ps3 games come outdobbywii

Prove it?

Explain to me how they can release a game on the PS3.

They are independant. They can release a game on whatever they want.

They are still under a contract for Microsoft to keep their games exclusive for a while. Not sure how long it will last, but it will stay that way for the next few games most likely.

loopholes? there are ways of getting out or breaking contracts. especially if they are unfair or hold them back.
bungie already did the hard part and that was becoming independent.

LOOPHOLES

Jesus.....

If anything, Nintendo64 managed to stay afloat for as long as it did because of Rare.

[QUOTE="jedigemini"][QUOTE="NSR34GTR"]they are still commited to the 360myke2010

They will go multiplat...there is just more money to be made that way.

They still have to go through Microsoft though, are people just ignoring that fact so they convince themselves they'll get a "real Halo killer" ?

Bungie's track record is small and unproven, apart from the Halo series, obviously.

Their next game could be a complete load of crap for all you know - whcih probably means it'll turn up on the Wii.

Bungie's track record unproven!!?? Before Halo they made Marathon and Myth, critically acclaimed PC titles.

That was ages ago, I'm talking about more recent times, I shouldve clarified.

You just said their track record was small, now you say they made great games ages ago. In all that time what were the quality of their titles? I'd say that's their long term proven track record, wouldn't you?

Small, as in the quantinty.

Now they have some more option, the faster their production gets, the more distinct the possibility of having the quality drop - that is unless they plan on releasing one game every 3 years still...

Okay, honestly now, who the hell is going to buy a PS3 if they havent even owned a PS2 yet? If they dont have a PS2, then that means no PS2 games, which means B/C is not important. Sony is made up of a bunch of retards, we know. But stop this damage control. A lower price is what we wanted and now we're getting it. Dont put a negative spin on this.Spartan8907

There are still more Halo games on the way. Lets just get this out of the way.

Mass Effect trilogy, Too Human trilogy, Alan Wake, GeoW trilogy, Fable 2, Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, and so on. It's going to be a combined effort from a large variety of software. Xbox is no longer the one trick pont.

sexy_chimp

Exactly. The 360 doesn't have to rely on a long string of overused franchises like other systems (Mario, Zelda, FF, MGS, etc). There are so many NEW IP's coming out next year and I can't wait to see how well they turn out.

Yet you guys are all excited for a bunch of Halo spin offs? Stop the pointless flaming. When did anyone bring the PS3 or Wii into this.

I played Halo for the FIRST TIME yesterday because I bought Halo 3. It's a very good game. Don't see myself purchasing any spinoff's.

*NEXT*

I see you don't like being stereotyped. Maybe you should stop doing the same exact thing to Nintendo and Sony?

When it comes to the PS3 and Wii (their products, not the companies, well , with the exception of Sony) it's not called stereotyping when you're pointing out facts.
