When console hardware was released by software companies (Sega/Nintendo), exclusives drove these developers towards excellence through competition.

If there were no exclusives we'd be stuck with annual releases with EA standards - ie horrific.

the owners didn't make it or give it a crown. the owners decided to purchase GT because they wanted a great racing sim for their PS2's. Given Forza was not available for the PS2 and given sales figures don't tell us which game is a better game, your point is nonexistant.

Exactly, it's like saying because Assassin's Creed sold 2 million units in just over a month then it's absolutely fantastic, when in reality it's closer to a pile rubbish.

Yeah, 8.5 sounds about right, if it's above the standards of the other SC games in the series possibly 9.0 ( I mean, if Assassin's Creed can get a 9.0....).

On a side note the game looks absolutely gorgeous :)

I am currently trying to finish Blue Dragon, and as much as I love JRPG's I tire of the cliches and spamming of one or two buttons.

That's what I loved about Mass Effect, because the combat kept you on your toes the game never got dull, and you didn't cringe everytime you walked around somewhere for fear of having to sit through a turn based battle/heal/walk/turn based battle/heal/walk... etc etc...

This is TRULY the funniest thing EVER to happen to a GT game.
