Both glitchy and with bad frame rates on 360. It doesn't have enough power to run current gen RPGs properly.CowboyR0y

Like how the PS3 can't run Half Life 2, a game from 2004 ?

true.

But giving it a 9.0 on this site makes me wonder more and more about gamespot reviews. Now I'm thinking should i get Mass Effect, I don't even know anymore.

I own both. Mass Effect is much, MUCH better than Assassin's Creed.

Mass Effect is probably a lot lot better (haven't played it, but i don't have to to know it's better), Uncharted is a lot better than AC and those two had a full point difference

Sadly, I finished Mass Effect today after 28 hours old playing, and I didn't do alot of the sidequests.

Mass Effect knocks off Panzer Dragoon Saga and Phantasy Star 4 as my favourite game ever, I can't wait for pt. 2!!!

I have Assassin's Creed sitting here,as I had intended to play it after I completed Mass Effect, but AC is so bad and ME is so good that I'm going to do another run-through.

[QUOTE="King_of_Sorrow"]I think both games are garbage. They don't come close to Final Fantasy Vii and Vagrant Story.King_of_Sorrow

How many times did FF7 win GOTY in its year? How many times did KOTOR? And just to clarify, it was near unanimous in '03, collecting more GOTY's than you can count on both hands. You may personally not like KOTOR, but as far as the rest of THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY is concerned, it had far surpassed FF7.

KOTOR too accolades, but FFVII took sales. Put your money where your mouth is. You can talk up KOTOR as the next best thing, but in real world it's just another rpg compared to FFVII. Don't act like FFVII wasn't GOTY in 1997.

Actually, I'll say that FFVII had tougher competition in 1997 to win, than KOTOR did in 2003. Remember your opinion fits you, and my opinion fits me. Do try to justify your opinion with something silly as "The entire industry".

Just stop. Mass Effect is light years ahead of anything Final Fantasy has done.

You can't exclude side quests from the length of a game, last time I checked, they're still a part of it.

Juggernaut140

No, I can finish any great game without making side quests and still enjoy it, hell, there is games without sidequests and they are more interesting.

What the hell are you talking about? Mass Effect not interesting? It's got one of the greatest stories ever.

I agree, no other video game story has ever been this deep, involving and excellent.

These stupid Cows havent even played Mass Effect, I'm 25 hours into it now, btw... so much for the 20 hour theory :|

Keep playing laggy flop, is that all you got for RPGs?

Btw, RPGs last longer than 20 hours.

RPGs have great battle systems, not a battle system used in the PS1 era, lol.

Did you really like that weak customization for skills and the level up system? YOU GOT MILKED

credibilityzero

All lame fanboy drivel aside, ME lasts longer than 20hrs easily and any actual RPG fanshould be shamed for not trying it out.

What is so special about the gameplay mechanics and story? They both suck.

No, they're both awesome.

You miss out, along with BioShock, on of one the best and most memorable games in a long, long time.

Go and BOO HOO somewhere where people care, ridiculous Cow.

ME is similar to Oblivion but so different at the same time. The only comparable things they have between them are Conversation systems (Mass Effect>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Obivion) and graphics.

Mass Effect may give you the oppurtunity to explore the galaxy, but it isn't an open-world like Oblivion is, so to speak. Mass Effect does give you a billion times more variety though.

They're both good games that are bound to waste hours upon hours for many a man, woman and child, and they both complement eachother really well.

360 owners are lucky that these games are on the one system, ME is definately a must-own.

I'm only about 2.5 hours in and it's great.

I'm a vanguard and get to use pistol and shotgun (which has terrible accuracy). I mainly just use the pistol, the force powers are ok, but I only have force push that's leveled up a bit and it's ok but not amazing.

I'm also a Vanguard and trust me, stick with the Shotgun, it becomes your best friend as you level up. When you feel like letting loose in battle there is nothing like running around killing enemies with one hit.
