Bah , they werent so bad at answering questions. In lot of time it seems that they are rather in a hurry just to get the game done before the deadline. As regards to a dedicated servers , i noticed this in that chatting log :

Will IW ever consider developing games on the PC to support dedicated servers, be it MW2 patches or future endeavors? Just curious if dedicated servers are on the radar anymore.

I used bold text , because i coulnt get the quote tags to work.

Anyway , my quess is that they just try to get the game done by the deadline and then see what they do with the modding , console , dedicated servers and many many more elements.Just my quess. Its just they have no time right now and they dont want to throw promises.

The very first Red Alert had fantastic skrimish battles. You would have a serious trouble trying to beat a 1 computer at a medium difficulty and if your not a very good player , dont even think about playing against a hard computer.Because he will overrun you! Its not like that he will attack you with 2 tanks and 10 foot soldiers. He bombards you with a whole armies all the time , a real "zergling" :P

Too bad i dont know any game like RA1 was , i dont like any "magical" weapons , micromanagement and tall buildings/objects behind units can hide easily by the way.

[QUOTE="SteelAttack"]Bold move. Can't really say how I feel about it, but these are the kind of decisions that really push the envelope and help shape the medium, for better or worse. Funny that one of the boldest moves made by the CoD franchise (a first person shooter, from a genre where story usually is neglected) is a plot based one, instead of a gameplay element. UpInFlames

They should put that in their logo. Infinity Ward - haven't had a gameplay idea since 2003.

Agree.

Me for example hates how all these military oriented shooters (singleplayer and cooperative) are just a walktrough in nature :( I just hate how you clear out one area in a minute and then move on.Then you clear another one in another minute and move on.There are some missions where you defend for a secong , but thats it.You just win-win-win troughout all these missions.Im not into multiplayer by the way.It just boring from my perpective :P

And all in all , i still havent seen any coop oriented military themed shooters , there are L4D and Killing Floor , but they are NOT military oriented.

Look what AI can do these days , you could probably do a game where players have to fight against AI forces in order to control certain areas , like in capture and hol.Just check out this example , i never seen anything so perfect :D

Z (that original game , not Z : Steel Soldiers) , i just would love to see a game like that.

A) No mikro management, not too many upgrades or unit types.

B) Kind of a realistic weapons , they had tanks and snipers and all.No plasma cannons and mind control Yuris.

C) "flat battlefield" feature. Its kind of hard to tell , but remember the old RTS games where there were no tall buildings.Every unit was clearly visible all the time. They coulnt just hide behind a buildings.Glad that Starcraft 2 is returning to that kind of an idea.It would make things a bit "out of scale" , but in other hand it would make everything to look more cute.

D) You have to control the whole map in order to win.So your forces are always spread around.

I know that Company of Heroes is close to that , but it seems too complicated for me and it has too many large buildings and stuff :P

[QUOTE="Lethalhazard"][QUOTE="KukicAdo"]If the pricing is $49.99 , $29.99, $29.99, I can deal, still think its BS, but I can deal somehow, but if Activision expects $49.99 or $59.99 (which honestly I wouldn't be surprised, looking at MW2 PC), then I will not purchase a single one.Justinge3
If they ever raise the price on the original title to 59.99$, I'll be done with Blizzard until they leave Activision.

On PS3 its 60 dollars for all 3. Too much!!!

There is no such thing as Starfraft 2 for PS3 (or for any consoles) , there is only PC and MAC versions. So i have no clue what your talking about ;)

Does Far Cry 2 keep track of your kills in the journal? I can't remember. S.T.A.L.K.E.R., both of them, run fine for me start to finish.Bane_v2

Stalker only runs as long as to finish the game , but it will start to crash if you stick with the game too long.Toy probably just played trough main missions and then finished the game.Thats not what i want to.I had 2700 kills in clear sky man , then it started to crash.About 2000 in normal stalker , same thing.

Sience the Ubisoft guys decided to screw up by not adding single player kills score , i would like to know is there any open world game out there that has them ?

Well , first off it has to be stable , so Stalker (both versions) count out.Stalker did have kills score , but it starts to crash in the end and you cant really play it as long as you want. There will be point from on you can no longer play (it crashes every minute or so).Besides enemies only respawned at very few fixed locations.

I doubt Crysis and warhead have any , so i avoid them.

Hm... I cant imagine any other title right now...

In case you should say does it matters , id say its one of the most important things in an open world shooter that you can ever have lol

In case you dont know , im the guy who loves to raid one area 50 times over and over again lol.You dont want to know how many hundreds of thousands i made just by raiding one outpost at least that many times Or was it well over a 2 million ? I cant remember , but my kills were well over 2000 before the game started to crash.Or was it 2700 ? And like half of them came from this outpost ?
