IMO, that is simply due to ignorance. The Gears of War universe doesn't even compare to the greatness of the Warhammer universe. And the whole argument that Relic doesn't have experience with shooters is ludicrous. They are an exceptional game developer and they know what they are doing. Gameplay videos don't lie. WH40k Space Marine is gonna kick @ss!!
Why do you keep bringing up Gears of War in every Space Marine thread? No one is trying to compare Gears of War Universe with Dawn of War 40k universe. Dawn of War 40k has been around long before. Let's drop it already.. Gears of War never tried to be anything like 40k. But people instantly associate Relic with the RTS genre.
It's unfortunate that a game as great as WH40k Space Marine so far seems to be somewhat overlooked while meanwhile an inferior game such as Gears of War 3 is all hyped up just because it is more familiar to the masses.
Well hopefully more word will get out about WH40k Space Marine before its release. It would be a shame for such a great game to not sell well. I am hoping for sequels as well. But anyways, I am pretty sure it will be a big hit!
