Yeah, the PS3 will do it.

Keep in mind, though, that you will not be able to view Bluray or HD-DVD movies from either system In High Def unless your monitor or TV is HDCP compliant.

"Copy-protected Blu-ray video discs can only output at 1080p using an HDMI cable connected to a device that is compatible with the HDCP standard." - http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=343142

Looking at Newegg, apparently very few monitors are HDCP compliant. Searching on Newegg only returned 8, and all were LCD. (which I do not like. LCD dead pixels annoy me. CRTs are bulky, but they last forever and I love my dual 22" mons :D )

Spyware Doctor is a great program. Beware though, some trojans will attach to winlogon and you'll need something like avenger (http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/avenger.zip) to get them off. Also, go and download Spybot Search & Destroy. It's free and is a pretty good program. Also, keep Nod32 and Spyware Doctor and return everything else. There is no reason to have all that other stuff and if you try to use all of it, it will create more problems. If you don't have a firewall, GET ONE! I recommend Comodo. It's free and is very, very good. Better than ZoneAlarm, IMO.

If you need help, try the MajorGeeks forum. Some of them can be kind of pissy. Just do what they tell you and don't be an ass or get upset with them. They have to deal with a lot of crap and a lot of morons, so sometimes they can be a bit gruff.

There's 2 Moons also. It seems like it will be a lot of fun. It's getting ready for open beta and will be relaunched within about 30 days. http://2moons.acclaim.com/

The Nightfall login screen is for all versions. It's a universal client log-in screen. As for the key, I don't know what the deal is. Go to GW's support page and proceed from there. http://www.guildwars.com/support/

2Moons will be going open beta sometime soon. It's free and looks pretty cool. Haven't played it, though.

You should be able to buy it at any game retailer. And someone did try making an online mod for Oblivion. They got it working, though only for 2 players. The project, last i heard, was canned.

For right now, maybe the Battlefield 2 series. Personally, I'd play some of the other FPS games out there and wait until Quake Wars. There's always Counterstrike:Source, too.

id Software has been producing weak games lately and they try to blame piracy for their lack of cash flow. Is piracy a problem, of course, but for id to blame stealing when the fact is that they are making average shooters is lame. I am a fan of id and hope they will try this trend around. If Quake Wars is yet another average shooter, it will not sell well on the P.C. or any console.roulettethedog

Well, Quake Wars isn't even being developed by id. It's being done by Splash Damage. Id is working on a new property though.

All of id's advancements the past few years have been engine-based. Doom3 wasn't a great game, but the engine was pretty solid and note-worthy. I really like the in-game use of the panels though. I thought that was pretty cool.

[QUOTE="BewilderedRonin"]Well, it's suppossed to be "couldn't care less", but you know how people are. Here's something to chew on though: http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-ico1.htm I blame hippies.

A-S_FM

yeah, i know it's couldn't (i'm english don't you know!), that's a neat article though

anyway, to be on topic: the wording of the op suggests to me he is questioning the phrase "to beat a game" (as in, you don't beat that game, you win or you finish it), not asking how is it that people can have the talent to win

but perhaps i misinterpreted

Ah... I get it. Sorry, bit slow on the uptake. For some reason I completely skipped over the part where the OP said, "and completed". Derp! It's 4:30Am for me right now. And I got a belly full of beer. So, wait... it's 9:30AM for Londoners right now... wow. I don't usually ever wake up before noon on the weekends. What's wrong with you people? ;)
