At the start of the sale I went through and book marked everything I plan on buying... But I'm going to wait till Jan 3rd to get them. I had Torchlight bookmarked at half off and today managed to get it for 5 bucks. I suggest everyone else do this. This way you get to see the daily deals before making purchases.
Seems a little fishy the PS3 is getting ALL the awards. I mean Uncharted2 was a really good game and probably deserves GOTY. KZ2 was good but it didn't do anything new. Choosing it over MW2 is a slight stretch. I'm kinda indifferent about R&C winning plat former of the year. NSMB had some really great moments, but it suffered the same problem as KZ2 by not doing enough 'new' things. But as a huge RPG gamer (my favorite genre)... no WAY does DA:O not win this category. Easily one of THE best RPG's I have ever played. DA:O hasn't one a freaking category yet which is ridiculous. Also I think Diabolical Box deserved Puzzle GOTY and I have no idea why Sims was listed in strategy. They didn't even have Empire Total War in the category? Are you serious?!?! It defiantly feels like their going for 'shock' value on some of these awards. Kind of like IGN's recent barrage of Wii bashing articles to get traffic to their site.
I bought and enjoyed the first RE:UC. However, I am already bought Dead Space Extraction and am waiting to play it. I will probably hold off on this game for a while. The shaky camera seems to be a constant complaint in a lot of reviews. Did the first one have a shaky camera, I cant remember. But in a game where pinpoint accuracy is very important, a shaky camera would be very annoying.
Vanilla was much better. It was best right before the introduced the new skills in the Pre-TBC patch. The problems with expansions is A) they made 3 years worth of updated content irrelevent...B) ruined the games balance C) the new green wpns you got from easy quests were better then pretty everything in Van wow. My biggest gripe with TBC was that it was terribly inbalanced. I had a priest main (I played wow since launch) and when TBC came out, Priest were getting steam rolled by everyclass. I stopped playing WoW 6 months later and havent gone back.
This by far. Easily the best RPG I've played in YEARS. Great story, great characters, great gameplay, and the Campaign is over 50hrs in length and never gets boring.
