I'm proud of the things I've accomplished, not because of some chance of which I had no choice in the matter. From where I come from, I am privelaged, not proud, and that is the way it should be for everything. Pride in ones place of birth is short sighted. And don't assume I have no sense of belonging. I've got a family that loves me. Thats belonging enough.[QUOTE="Bitter_Altmer"][QUOTE="KSU-Wildcat"]
Bitter is a perfect name for your profile. I hope you find a sense of meaning and belonging somewhere, bud. As a third generation serviceman in my family, I'm proud of my country. :) What are you proud of, if anything?
KSU-Wildcat
Did your home country have nothing to do with who you are? Eliminating that as a factor is the actual short sighting, my friend.
My own perceptions and my upbringing from my family shaped who I am, had nothing to do with my country as a whole.
