I got a ps3 expecting decent RPG games from square and honest yes we got a few from Square but most of this gen they spent all their time either making handheld games or ios games and back of the bus SH&T games. FF15 will be their saving grace or execution in my eyes..
I felt X-Com: Enemy Unknown was a pretty good reboot for that franchise.. Of course isn't as closely tied to the orginals as I would like but still a very good game.
I say let them have a go at it! Honestly I really loved the first game and to finally get a updated HD version of the game I can sink my teeth into would be excellant. Of course a remake would be even better if they spiced it up a bit and added some new material to the game that struck super close to the plot and timeline of the series.
By the gods this is just horrid.. Even if the game was driven by a serious story of some sort the main meat of the game (The Action) just is too slow not to mention the all around weapon sounds and enemies reactions from getting hit is just darn annoying/bad. I'm really disappointed I wanted a good deadpool game I love the comix but never played a game based on the character.
Wow dude chill I said at the very bottom of my comment that it was just my opinion and I could be wrong I didn't state it as fact or anything. You however seem to have the inside source are you working on the project or something?
Everything nowadays uses ideas or other peoples works as references to something or another its bound to happen in digital entertainment that a glimmer of someone elses work is displayed here in a game based on a real city. I personally wouldn't of cared much but whatever next thing you know using an atlus in a game will cause ripple effects to happen in the space time continuum..
I agree with this statement whole heartedly. Its not like the guys at Naughty Dog took a physcial map this guy made put the Naughty Dog seal of they made it type of thing on it and sold it for their own. I bet their are differences between the two..
Sad thing is most of the funding will go to advertising and pay offs to get the game rolling your probably only looking at 30% of any budget going into the actually game planning and game itself..
Then again could be wrong though just my honest opinion..
