Yet we still have COD 4 and so on and so forth that sells in the record breaking numbers. A name doesn't really matter as much as you think it all depends on the demographic of people you trying to sell the merchandise to at the end of the day.
After the holiday seasons pass and going into spring gaming companies barely put out anything during that time so no wonder gaming sales dip. They shouldn't be worried with the ps4 on the horizon sony will be banking greens like a lawnmower banks grass clippings.
The only reasons the Wii U is failing because Nintendo once again thought they could cash in on a causal trend that was happening at the time. The causal trend I speak of was apple's ipad and the excitement that was tablets. But they made two mistakes they made a tablet that was just totally unattractive that just left everyone with the impression of a product that should've had the tonka logo pasted on it instead of Nintendos.
The second mistake was like many people has stated was naming the console the Wii U. I understand they were trying to be clever but their cleverness didn't pay off and the idiot causal market buyers didn't really understand what really the Wii U was. They only way I ever will buy a Wii U is if they streamlined the tablet more and made the thing lighter and more pleasing to the eye also getting support from third party game devs.
I would like to see Naughty Dog try something other then third person shooter/adventure games. Would be pretty neat to see a rpg come out of that studio but I guess thats a little too different for them to try though..
Hmmm I wouldn't of apologized I think hes right but hey at least hes nice to say sorry. I personally would like to see some more x-com: Enemy Unknown like games but hey thats just because I'm just getting old I think...
