I thought Mass Effect was exellent! My only complaint was with some of the bugs, in particular the audio bugs. It didn't make the game unplayable by any means but had the game not been so great I may not have had much patience with it.

I enjoy the combat myself but it's because of the spellcasters. Let your tanks run interference while you control the spellcasters and blow the enemies to hell. The learning curve seems to have deminished somewhat from BG2 (the battles don't seem as challenging.) but it's still more strategic than hack n slash. There are so many spells that do so many different things that the learning curve can be steap. I found a great spell guide when I was first playing BG2 else I would have been totally lost. Some people will like that, some won't. Plus the high level spells just seem so much more epic and powerful than any other RPGs I've played (granted I may not have played the right ones). Your not just shooting cold, fire or lightening at someone. You can bombard your enemies with meteors for christs sake! In MOB you can turn your enemies into chickens... There are combinations of spells that you learn to cast from playing or reading the forums for the game. The complexity is what I like about it.

In the context of the game, yes it's humorous. However it's a little more high brow than typical potty humor so I can understand why some may not find the game funny.

Who ever told you Rainbow Six Vegas wasn't good lied to you. It's not as tatical as the previous games but it's good and from your posts it sounds like a game you would like. I'm sure it's pretty cheap now too.

I spent about $1300 initially on my PC 2 years, upgraded the monitor (about $200) at a later date and upgraded to a 8800gt for $250 a while back. It runs every game except for Crysis at the settings I want it to and even Crysis runs at perfectly playable settings. Not only can I play games on it but I can also store and edit my home movies, use productivity suites etc. etc. $5000 is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a PC IMO.
