Mine died with out warning. I had a local guy repair my YLOD PS3 so I could transfer my data over to my new slim. The old repaired PS3 is still kicking and gets regular use. I didn't let sony fix it because they wipe the harddrive clean when they get it and install a whole new board that won't recognize the Harddrive anyway. The only way to keep files is to repair instead of replacing and doing the data transfer before it dies again.

I first heard the term retro gaming refering to Atari and such. So It's hard for me to see SNES and Genesis as Retro. I'd use the term Old school but Retro just makes things sound so much older. I use the word retro for things before I was born, like Rollerskating or Disco Music.

That's interesting news considering I just bought a neo geo pocket 2 days ago. Games would probably be cheaper than the hard copy versions.

It is a CR2032 but I thought my new one was an Alkaline and not a lithium. will that cause an issue? I have a 4 in 1 cart but have yet to save any games as I thought I had to save normally then move the save to the cart. I haven't looked at that area too much as I assumed I couldn't save yet. Plus I have only been playing a few arcade games that I haven't needed to save yet.

Edit - The battery is a lithium.

Ive been keeping my eye on this for a while and it seems like it could be fun. there's more than likely going to be a few issues that don't hold true to it's source but if it's fun and captures the story I'll enjoy it for what it is.

I recently aquired a Japanese Saturn and as expected it had a dead battery. So I replaced it with the same type and I'm still getting the time and date screen resetting everytime I use it. I have checked the battery is in correctly and made sure it was the right type and I havent just copied someone putting the wrong one in. The battery is a good brand, Energizer.

Is there more issues that can go wrong or is there something else I'm meant to do? any helps appreciated.

Awsome topic, I remember when I got Wonder boy for the Master System. I played it for hours and it was tough as nails I had one part where I had to jump over these boulders rolling down a hill and I could only just get over them with perfect timing and twice as much luck. Later on at around world 4 I had to make a really long jump that I could not make. After hours of trying I realized if you push both buttons together you get a higher jump. That made everything before that 10 times easier. I then went through the rest of my games and realized double dragon had a jump kick I could do, and all my games bacame easier.

I saved for ages for my PS1 and I had to make do with the demo disc and a few rentals until I could get a game. The game that I wanted the machine for was cool boarders. I used to play it in the game store until I was able to buy it. It was so different to previous gen games. It was a new genre and it was 3D and Polygons looked great back then. plus it had so many choices with its 3 character s and about 6 track with alternate game modes.

Ive been on each day since I got it and have spent most my time on career and create. But that's also to do with not wanting to wait in a lobby after all those load times, I just goto career where I can get racing. I hope it steadily sees more users as there is no point having this sort of game with few people online. Some of the top rated tracks have only been voted for 30 times.
