If they come out with a CoD game that can be played online, cross platform with the ps3, that would all but guarantee that it is a success. As far as being more successful than the 3DS? I severely doubt anyone will ever knock nintendo off of their handheld platform any time in the near future.

Gotta go with SONY on this one. MS first party is a joke and while nintendo puts out quailty games all the time, nothing they do feels fresh to me anymore. What was the last new IP they even created? While I enjoy the mario/zelda/metroid games alot, it is really disheartening that they wont at least try something new and create new franchises, something sony has done every gen so far.
I will definetely give this a look when it comes out, but i was very disappointed with R2, and thought FOM was by far the superior game. There was just something about the second one that I just didnt like. I cant really put my finger on it exactly but the campaign just lacked something that the first one had, the feel of the game was just different and I didnt enjoy it as much.
Because they need good devs for the job and Lucasarts is at fault for getting them. IMO, every gen from NES era to last gen had plenty of good Star Wars games. true or they figure the games will sell on the star wars name alone...which seems to be the only way this kinect trash has any chance of moving copies imo[QUOTE="BlancoBX"]
Why is it so hard for anyone to make a good star wars game? I feel like the content material is perfectly suited to be made into video games...smh
edit: THIS gen

Because yearly re-hashes with no substantial improvements, and high priced DLC that should have been included in the original product are so good for the industry? Give me a break...
I wonder if the ps3/vita combo can do something similiar to the things shown in the video...
Does it really matter if they're exclusive or new IPs? I think the show will be entertaining at least, I mean c'mon. Hitman, Halo, XCOM, Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim, and Gears 3! The Kinect s*** will suck, but I think this is going to be far from the wretched press conference people are making it out to be.[QUOTE="enterawesome"][QUOTE="BlancoBX"]
how many of those new ips and exclusive are: made by a MS owned studio and/or published by MS and not a kinect title?

It's not going to be Nintendo 2008 bad, but it sure will be uninspired. You've got Gears, Forza, some multiplats, and then an eternity of Kinect. I don't know about you, but I've had my fill of seeing the same (core) exclusives year after year with no diversity. I like the 360's exclusives, I really do, but there's only so long you can continue to put out the same thing before it gets repetitive. I'll tune in for Forza 4 and that's it. I'll check the Gears 3 news later.
this is exactly what I was getting at. MS is making billions from their core gamers, but they do not reward them with new interesting games to play. Sure Halo, Gears and Forza are great games, but when every single e3 you see sequels to these games and no new IPs or anything remotely creative/different it gets stale and as another poster stated earlier its like they are "in cruise control". I like the aforementioned games, but I cant help but feel slighted when I tune in to e3 and I see these games being shown year in and year out.

Seems like MS is falling into a pattern every year: Gears, Halo, Forza, Fable, a ton of multiplats, timed exclusive dlc and now you can add terrible(from what we have seen so far) kinect shovelware. Fanboys like to use Xbox sales as ownage, but what exactly is MS using the billions they make every year on? It certainly isnt being used to reward the gamers who made xbox successful with new ips and exclusives.

I see new IP's and exclusives on that list.
