Wait you mean all these features aren't present in "Superman" for the N64? Kidding! That game caused me to give up on all pixelized versions of the Man of Steel since. I heard a few followups on the PS2 were better but I was so scorned I couldn't even chance it.
The only time I've ever given the concept consideration was for the Ouya console. Still kicking around the idea simply because pledges of $99 will get you the system and a controller before launch.
Agreed- I keep up with all the new stuff but can't seem to fully put away those systems that were there through all the years. In fact I recently revisted my Dreamcast and picked up a whole bunch of games I was curious about but never got around to picking up back when the console was new. I began gaming in the early 1980s as a kid with an Atari 2600 but (and I'm showing my age here for sure) consider REALLY getting obsessed when I got the NES in 86.
[QUOTE="Dudersaper"] I went to Radio Popular the other day and pick up some games, and saw at least 15-20 of them for 70 euros a pop. Didn't have the spare cash to put up one, I really want to get a backup PS2. Yea same here- I wouldn't mind picking up a spare while they're still around and not outrageous. My original "fat model" has more miles logged on her than I care to calculate. It remains the only console in my long and strange history that I have over 100 games for.
At about their lowest point they were like $79 new in my travels and you're right, they seem to be going up and up. So the question then becomes: What kind of a deal did you get on your slims?
One need only research the history of Sega for a how-to guide in recognizing the exact moment a console is about to leave the land of the living (Atari is another expert on the subject). Contrary to common belief, the death of console almost always has absolutely nothing to do with hardware capabilities (in fact the opposite seems to be true: the weaker entries prove victorious in 96% of console wars), it's truly all about the games.
Brand new Dreamcast titles: Matt Hoffman BMX Razor Freestyle Scooter Test Drive 24 Hours of Le Mans All on eBay- $22 for the lot. Just waiting for the mailman to deliver.
eBay is probably your best bet or hit up Amazon and check the used marketplace offers. There's almost always decent deals on used PS2 systems on Craigslist but since the list of games you are looking for is specific, you'll probably want to use the sites mentioned above to track them down.
