MS is a great marketer, they know what theyre doing. They are, no doubt in my mind or the majoirty of people's, the best marketer in the entire bussiness industry.

For the franchise itself that might not be so bad, they sell the storie in different segments. Just the first one is oozing sequel AND prequel potential.

I've noticed only a few of the most sane cows admit or even address the massive tanking the PS3 is taking right now. There's been a flurry of "PS3 is bombing right now but... It's Sony's Plan / It'll bounce with price cut / It'll bounce with XXX game release and it's really tiring. Cause everyone of them dismisses the current problem. Oh! So easily.

So this is thread is a request to cows to please if your making one of the above threads on why the PS3 will be king don't dismiss the damage Sony's bad start, it'll never achieve PS2 level of success and it won't "CRUSH" the competition even if they did a 120$ drop at the end of the year.

So in short, lower your expectations / dreams.

Of course, this is still speculation, but I think it's true. Even the PS2 and 360 shortage was gone in 4 months. It has been over 5 months and Wii shortage is still rampant. This is just ridiculous now. It is also bad business on Nintendo's part. Wii is being bounced around a lot on Ebay because people still can't find them anywhere else. "But, but Wii gets big shipments to stores that immediately sell out in 10 seconds AvidGamer!" Even if that is the case, Sony had enough PS2 supply to satisfy the enormous demand after 4 months.

And, if I am wrong, and Nintendo isn't deliberately causing a Wii shortage, then Nintendo needs to open another manufacturing plant. But we all know how Nintendo likes to save as much money as possible, and Nintendo would have to spend some of its precious money to open another manufaturing plant. Like Nintendo can't afford that :roll: Either way --- Gamers are getting the shaft. Funny how I hear "Nintendo is the only company who cares about its audience". Yeah, sure...whatever.

 C'mon this is just pathetic. The artifical shortage (if any) has been going just this last month and only because Nintendo had met its yearly goals. Your link even says the shortage benefits competitors and scalpers and not nintendo directly so it really just makes the Wii-mania stronger than it is.

The shortage (at least this month's that's for sure) is artifical. It makes a lot of sense to hold back Wiis and wait for the fiscal year to end since Nintendo has already surppassed ( by a fat margin) its goals. Expect to see a lot more of Wiis this April with the shortage greatly reduced or extinguished completely. If I'm wrong fanboys I give you the right to crucify me.

I'm so glad Wii is being taken so seriously now with this ultra-hardcore game! :roll: Tamagotchis haven't been popular in the U.S. since the mid-90s. WTF is Bandai thinking?? Seriously, is anyone over the age of 6 going to want this? $40 seems like a VERY STEEP price for this kinda game.
