Samus was the first girl you could play as. Jigglypuff was also in the first SSB but you had to unlock her(I guess it's a girl, can't really tell with Pokemon).

Marth is my favorite character, has been since melee, and even if he does look like a girl, he's still a badass. =)

Pit is also surprisingly good, although his voice is terrible. (And no, I don't just spam his B moves)

Another Chrono game is easily my number one.

A new Final Fantasy Tactics on PS3 would be awsome, the nintendo handhelds just dont do it for me.

I got it, played a little bit of it, but I'll wait until the english version comes out, because I have no idea what's going on in the story. I can battle fine though, if the gameplay is all you're looking for.
