[QUOTE="kaangonultas"][QUOTE="Haziqonfire"][QUOTE="kaangonultas"]upcoming wii games are really poor.Haziqonfire

Thats cool you got a chance to play them!

they look poor.

Little King's Story
MadWorld
Wario Land Shake It
Fatal Frame IV
Arc Rise Fantasia
Oboro Muramasa Youtouden
De Blob
Mushroom Men
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World

These titles look poor? I'm not comparing these to the 360/PS3, however, these are all exclusives and all look like A-AAA titles.

Actually, the only one of those i'm looking forward to is the new Tales game...I think the rest of them look pretty lame. Just my opinion...

TBH I think SE is taking too long for a project the size of an FF game. My guess is their developmental resources are spread pretty thin what with all the spin-off's, remakes and other projects they have outside of their core commitments. The release schedule is certainly suspect but SE's development practice even more so.

LordReithgar

uhm, what the hell are you talking about? It took 5 years in between the last 2 FF (FF XII : 2006, FF X : 2001), I guess that all these cutscenes and high quality graphics takes longer to develop then previously, also as you mentioned, SE has more spinoff and IPs then ever before so they can afford taking more time to develop their flagship. Considering that it might take less time to get the next FF then the previous one, it's not that bad.

I guess Final Fantasy X-2 and XI don't count? because they were both released in 2003... Anyways, I'm expecting one hell of a game, and I want them to take their time with it, so i'm not worried...The only thing I don't like is if they really push back the US PS3 release until the 360 version is done. I still don't believe they will, but i guess I'm being a bit optomistic. The only thing i saw was that it's being released simultaneously in the US and Europe....it never said that it's being released simultaneously with the PS3 version. And with the Gamespot article, I've read that they threw that line in there, and they didn't really announce that it will.

Oh well, here's hoping for the best.

I played it on an 27" SDTV when i got my PS3(MGS4 bundle), and I was like, "I bet this would look soo much better on an HDTV". Less than a week later I went out and bought an 57" HDTV and the difference was amazing. Like, i could read all the little text when I look at enemies with the Solid Eye equipped, and I could see all kinds of neat new things when playing Pixel junk Monsters.(I thought the character was a bug before)

All in all, it made a huge difference and I believe it's how the PS3 is meant to be played, I don't think I could go back to the SDTV...

WOW! That game looks awesome! I believe it's called Super Robot Taisen, and that they've never released one in english? That's a shame, but just looking at the gameplay makes me want to import it now.

The Wii is too weak to pull off the game, just like it's too weak to offer software emulation, just like it's too weak to run a lot of games that are offered elsewhere.

If you want the ability to play all games this gen you have to buy different hardware, there is no other option.

Jaysonguy

The Wii can't do software emulation? Does the Wii have extra hardware to run VC and WiiWare games then?

On topic, I don't think people realize that it isn't as easy as(just tone down the graphics and dumb down the AI) to port it over. It could be done, sure, but I'd rather have the original rather than a dumbed down port, and I will. I have more than just a Wii for a reason, the Wii does have some really fun games, but there are alot of games the Wii doesn't/won't have that I want.

This is all taken from Gamespots preview, I personally don't think it's worth playing through the whole game again, since I already beat it on the PS2...

"One of the new features in Disgaea DS is the ability to see a cut-and-dried grid of the battlefield on the top screen that shows you a top-down view of the area and characters. This is opposed to the standard view, where you see all the sprites, terrain, and obstacles in your way. The top screen is more of a map to supplement your view of the bottom screen. And while you can rotate the camera on the bottom, the sprite-based characters will often get crammed so closely together that the top screen map comes in quite handy.

While Disgaea DS is being touted as a faithful port of the PSP version of the game, there will be a handful of other new additions, including new playable characters. One new character is Adell, the star of Disgaea 2, who was unplayable in the original game. Another new feature is the Prinny commentary during dialogue sequences. The main story dialogue between characters takes place on the bottom screen, but occasionally you'll be able to read the Prinnies' take on the situation by looking at the top screen. Most of the time they're wisecracking and poking fun at the main characters. It's a bit like the director commentary you'd find on a DVD, but with exploding penguins. "

If they can get the singleplayer part right, and make an awesome multiplayer experience its going to be one hell of a game.

Im looking forward to it :D

monty_4256

last I heard they were making it single player only, and focusing completely on that.

it's already not looking like it will play like any other square enix game since it looks a lot more like an action adventure than an RPG

They better not make it a single-player only game, the best part about FF:CC was the multiplayer. Personally, I think they messed up on RoF because they left out basically the whole story on the multiplayer, but the original on the GC was a great game. Once you get 4 GBA's and 4 cables, it's time for hours of fun. With this one, I'm hoping that they do what they did on the gamecube, only with the DS's instead of GBA's, and that everyone has their own screens and such. We'll see how that goes though.

huge problems with peoplpe who don't own a DS... leaves them out of the whole multiplayer segment, I think it was a terrible idea, and should never have been done on GC. The idea of your own screen is great, but to make you HAVE to have a GBA for multiplayer was aweful

Even so, you could still play the single player if you don't have a DS. Did you ever play it on GC with 4 people? I do agree to a point though, you shouldn't 'have' to have a DS to play the multiplayer, you should be able to at least play with the controller, but there should be an option to use a DS and it have it's own benefits, such as you're own screen, map, menu's and such, like the GC version.
