You know nobody owns a 360, don't you ? In fact you are just renting it for a period of 3 years, thanks to the RROD, then you most pay to get it repaired, or even more hilarious, you gotta pay every year to extend your warranty. You will get stuck with your games the day you will have enough of the 360 RROD coming back a couple of times a year... and you know the best games will be on the PS3, so in the end you will buy a PS3 and sell your 360 games for nothing at EB games. Think about it, who deserves your gaming money, Micro$oft, or Sony ???cramoisi
A little extreme, don't you think?
Imagine when there are actually more than a few games worth getting for it out, It's gonna be like PS2 all over again!catlin_czirr
2008 is shaping up to be an awesome year indeed.
It's been beating the 360 worldwide for a few months now. It outsold it by 300,000 WW in January so overtaking it by summer 2009 is certainly possible. Floppy_Jim
True enough.
Not to mention, NA was the last refuge for the 360. If the PS3 really is overtaking the 360 there for a continued period, maybe the 360 is in more trouble than we think.
Did you notice how the consoles look like the cars ? The PS3 is the most expansive (well the less expansive because you don't pay for online) and is japanese like the Toyota brand. PS3 and Toyota is a great success, great quality that last for long and never ever dissapoint you. 360 is like Ford and GM: cheaper cost, but breaks all the time and none of their products are in the 10 best car of the year anymore.cramoisi
I doubt even Ford and GM dare produce a product that has a 16% failure rate.
[QUOTE="mentzer"]Don't know how often PS3 will outsell 360 this year, but it will be more than one month and nothing is going to stop the PS3 from having a great year.
Sorry lemmings.

it's just sad how cows think 360's gonna continue to have shortages for the entire year
It's sad that people actually think shortages were the reason for the poor sales.
16% >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3%
Simple math.
Pretty self explanatory.....what company and why? :DMikeE21286
Microsoft. The January NPD numbers say it all.
I understand frustration on this issue, I just don't know that Microsoft is going to magically resolve it at GDC.

To be honest, I'm not sure if they can resolve it this generation. Continuing to crank out smaller and cooler units has helped. But not eliminated the problem. Which leads me to think they really have no idea what's going on.
It wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to just scrap the 360, get a head start on the new unit, INSURE that the unit is tested over and over and over again for hardware defects, and offer full BC to placate current 360 customers.
Seems more cost-effective to me and would again allow MS to get the jump on the competition.
Whatever happens, they cannot allow issues like the RROD to plague their systems and for so long. It's beyond embarassing.
