I didn't call in sick for Bioshock. I doubt I will for Halo 3. I'll just pick it up on the way home and enjoy it in the evening.

Make sure to do research, as others have said. Also, take your environment into account. You can hack turrets and security cameras and what not. There's also enrage and hypnotize big daddy that are helpful. I've noticed that a lot of the big encounters tend to have plasmid upgrade stations nearby. It's helpful to change them out on the fly if you don't have a lot of slots filled or just need to use a particular one for a short bit.

The flavor was a bit odd at first. It really reminded me of gummy worms or something. Like said above, it's a lot like Code Red, but more tangy. It's not bad.

It's hard to go wrong with Bioshock. It has a lot of atmosphere, a good story, and some of the best gameplay for a shooter in years.

Two Worlds seems to be a love it or hate it game from what I've been reading. And even those who have been enjoying it, like myself, have commented on some of the technical issues. You might want to wait for more reviews or a demo or something to get more information on it before spending the money.

Crackdown is short, but it's a blast. I still occasionally fire it up to go looking for more orbs and what not.

I'm enjoying it a lot more than I had expected. There's definitely issues in the game, but it's not terrible. I've seen a lot of posts here and elsewhere from folks who seem to hate the game at first and then end up liking it once they give it another chance. From the sounds of it, multiplayer runs like crap right now, though.

Theres a rumor going around that Deus Ex 3 is being made. Another rumor (off topic alert) is that Bethesda wants to get their talented hands on the Thief series.

Shrapnel99

I'd love for Bethesda to get the rights to Thief. Playing through the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild quests in Oblivion was like playing an open ended version of Thief almost. It was easily my favorite of playing that game.

I hope Eidos gets someone good for Deus Ex 3 if they do go ahead with it.

On topic - I did pick up Two Worlds today. I didn't find it anywhere near as bad as a lot of folks made it out to be. It's not a masterpiece by any stretch, and there's a number of issues with it. But some of those things, like the frame rate, are being made out ot be far worse than they are.

I have yet to play it online, though. Hopefully my brother will be picking up a copy of it soon so we can try out some of the multiplayer.

My theme is the one from PDZ collector's edition. The gamerpic I use is that cartoon monkey. Can't remember the name of the pic.

I'd say it is now that it's only about $30 new. The single player is fun, but a bit lacking. I enjoyed Perfect Dark for the N64 a bit more, but it's not bad. Multiplayer is a lot of fun. The bots are all right for filling in when you don't have a lot of players. Being able to set map size and the different game modes make for a lot of replayability.

I've gotten that message with Oblivion once. I just had to power cycle and then it read just fine.
