Graphics are important in how they add to the atmosphere, help convey the story, and they're just nice to drool over when like in a lot of the more recent games. But, they're really secondary to how the game plays overall. I like to play through older games every once in awhile. The only case where graphics have really been an issue for me tend to be some of the older shooters, like Wolf 3D. They're still fun, but tend to give me a headache to play for long.
I've seen this attitude about graphics, the tendency to dismiss games because they're not the newest and best looking, moreso in the last ten years or so. But then, it's usually from the same crowd who dislike music or movies before some arbitrary date. It seems to all be the same "it sucks if it's not new and shiny" attitude.
Terminator: Future Shock and Terminator: Skynet both by Bethesda Softworks are the best games in the francise. The T2 Arcade Game isn't bad if you want to light gun action.
At all costs stay away from T3 it's one of the worst games possible.

Yep, the Bethesda games are the best of the bunch. The Bethesda games were pretty awesome, with lots of areas to explore. I'd love to see them make another Terminator game someday.
The arcade game was pretty fun, too.
Most of the others I've played have ranged from forgettable to pretty awful.
What's a stonge?

An embarrassing typo. :o That should have been "stronger".
I tend to agree. It seems like in shooters especially, this trend towards having so much emphasis started with a lot of the Quake 3 based games. It was cool to have more in depth multiplayer in games like Elite Force and RTCW, but then the single player portion of the game started getting shorter and shorter.
I'm not that big into multiplayer, so I'd like to see more shooters with a stronger, more developed single player campaign.
EDIT - Fixed a typo.
The PS3 controller is just like the other various PS controllers. You might have to get used to where the left thumbstick is on both, but it should come like second nature. There's even a PS button that has the same basic function as the 360 button.
While I do miss rumble, it's nice to have the PS3 controller feel so light. There's no heavy battery pack like with the 360 controller.
Yes, there should definitely be demos. Except in some rare cases, most of which are with sequels or games from developers I like where I know about what I'm getting, I prefer to not blind buy. In the case of Bioshock, the demo got me more excited about the game than I had been previously.
