1) When I first boot the game up the inital screen that show Crystal Dynamics name and all the parties involved with making the game scrambles and shifts left, right, has little lines in the text and what not, then this also carries over to the next screen when the words Tomb Raider show in the lower left corner, they are kinda scrambled, shift up, down, left and right, the picture of the island then flashes like lightning striking, the image shakes a little then everything all at once settles in to the main menu and it is fine, with the rain splashingon the screen, etc... IS THIS NORMAL??? Does anyone elses game do this, because.... it could be contributing to my other problem, I cannot set anything on fire in the shanty town which of course is keeping me from advancing the story as you have to burn the gate to continue, please someone help me out with a yes or no so I can return my disc if needed, thanks.

No matter where I shoot the effigies with a burning arrow they will not burn, nor can I burn the brace at the gate, is there a specific spot I must shoot or what this is really starting to bother me I am basically stuck in the shanty town can't get out and can't collect the effigies achievement, hope someone can help becasue I have shot them up and down and nothing happens...

I have Limbo, Deadlight, I am Alive, Alan Wake Nightmare. Are there any other I might enjoy, XBL can be really time consuming to navigate to find games and they all seem to have 4-5 star rating which I know is complete bumpkiss...

The one on left 4 dead where you stun a tank with a propane tank. It's hard becasue you never know where one is gonna spawn exactly and then putting it in position before the tank can get his hands on you and stunning him with it can be almost impossible, I was lucky to have him slowly climbing a fence and then he stopped on top to pound his chest and wave his arms in anger so I threw the tank at the bottom of the fence and as soon as he touched the ground, BOOM... stunned him... nice...

Just curious, when I load Tomb Raider it scrambles and jumps all over with flickers and flashes then comes to the main menu screen and everything is normal, is it supposed to do that or is my disc funky?

Anyone else have this with their game? It doesn't affect gamepley and never shows it self outside the main menu / load screen I just figured it is supposed to be indicative of the "storm" that  all encounter in and around the island or my disc has a glitch in the initial load screen.

Condemned is freaking awesome! It was the first game I ever bought for my 360. Very dark and creepy. Never played the sequel but I hear it is equally disturbing. If you like survival horror I cannot recommend Condemned enough. I like it more than Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Dead Space much in the same way I like a movie like Seven more than Sinister because the material shown could actually happen. You know the stuff in RE and SH and DS is all fiction, but the crap in Condemned is actually possible.

Of all the jobs I've ever had being Mayor is the first, it ain't all kissing hands and shaking babies...

All I can say is this, having played Bioshock 1 & 2 they are great games, amazing undersea adventures, creepy atmosphere, but it seemed a little redundant after awhile, but the constant changing plasmids and what not made it interesting and fun. Then of course the choices, do you spare the little girls for their benefit or harvest them for your own benefit.

BUT... I have been playing Tomb Raider now for 2 days and am blown away by it. The controls are perfect, the environments are huge and beautiful, and there is just something about it's gameplay that I enjoy more than Bioshock.

You really can't go wrong with either, but for the cost of tomb raider you could get both bioshocks, NEW! Personally I saw Tomb Raider, but you will not be disappointed with either, trust me.

I just got Tomb Raider and it came with a code for the Lara Croft GOL game so when I downloaded it I noticed that at around 75-76% is flashed the little "download complete" signal at the bottom of the screen. I also noticed on my HD it says the file is 2.1 GB. Is it possible that i didn't get the whole file, XBL says it is 2.2 GB and it did stop at 75% however it said completed???

Any way to check if it is corrupted or anything without playing it or is that the only real way to know just play it and see what happens, thanks.
