AdrianWerner makes a pretty sweet list every year for PC Gamers of hot upcoming games. This is basically a copycat thread for the Wii. I do not have the time he does, but I put together the following short list of Wii titles currently available and forthcoming that justify owning the console, as many owners have expressed disappointment with the lack of "hardcore" titles available for the system. Feel free to add to the list, and happy gaming.

The Current Triforce: Link, Mario, and Samus

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Super Paper Mario

Metroid Prime 3

Party games float your boat? Minigame Madness!

Maybe this crowd is too young to remember, but back in the day Freddie pwned. Millions of people were afraid to go to sleep after to first film.

Of course, it's tame by today's standards, but back then...

[QUOTE="Bozanimal"]I have no problems with it, I just think it unusual. I'm definitely not saying there is anything wrong with it. Oleg_Huzwog

The way you phrased the options in the poll implies otherwise.

Is it the way I phrased the options, or your own perception thereof! Aha, your move, sir!

I still think it's a hard drive reading. I have 4 gigs of RAM - Crucial Ballistix, too - and once and awhile I still get a brief lag.

[QUOTE="chimera1984"]usually caused by some crappy process in the background, i get it sometimes and usually find out that the explorer.exe is hogging ram or something.LaNoOm

Could be, but I have 2 gigs of ram though.

i also find guys that choose female characters in video games rather disturbing(I mean rpg's and mmo's not games like tomb raider where you don't have a choice)Hate_Squad

Somewhat contradictorally, I have no problems with this. I actually agree that looking at a female gaming avatar is sometimes more pleasant than playing as Conan or Master Chief. But your Gamespot avatar is an image you use to represent yourself to the community online. When a man elects to use a woman as an avatar, I find the choice a bit odd, is all.

I have no problems with it, I just think it unusual. I'm definitely not saying there is anything wrong with it.

I find males users that have female avatars disturbing. Maybe it's my own issues, but that's how I feel.

Ponderingly,

I'm about to get a new HDTV today, and I was wondering if there was that much of a difference to notice between 720p and 1080p for my 360? I'm thinkin about getting either a 32" or 40" HDTV. Any suggestions are welcome too.sebs09

At these sizes I would only consider 1080p if you plan on using it as a computer monitor. If you are viewing the screen from a normal movie-viewing distance of several feet (or meters if you prefer), you will not be able to see the difference, even with a 1080p source. The following chart may help, as well as this discussion:

Latley when i play some single player stuff not online like Quake 4, unreal tournament 3 demo, and even age of empires 3 sometimes when a big load is coming up it kinda lags for a second. For example when a new area in quake 4 is coming it lags a bit or when a lot is going on. Why is this?LaNoOm

I believe it is the PC loading new data into memory - possibly a hard drive read or transfer of data to the graphics card memory - correct me if I am wrong. :?

I would like to suggest the removal of the comment voting system. In theory, it was a great idea to allow the community to "self-moderate," so to speak. In practice, however, it has become a tool to silence voices of contrary opinion. A quick perusal of the news section yields plenty of examples.

When a comment is rightfully voted down, I still find myself clicking "show comment," like a traffic accident voyeur. I would hazard others have done the same.

If I am out in left field here, and other users have found it to be truly handy in limiting trolling and similar comments, leave a comment of your own and let me know.

Happy gaming,

Boz
