I have an Intel DH55TC motherboard with Realtek Audio. My case also has a front panel audio connector. Is there a difference in quality between the two? I'm looking into a pair of headphones that have a cable that can't reach the back of my PC.

The front-panel is connected to a motherboard audio header and should not be any different than plugging directly into the analog audio output on the rear of the machine. Happy gaming, Boz

Get the JVC's and, if you don't like them, return them. I haven't had an opportunity to audition the HARX700 or 900, but have had good experiences with full-size JVCs in the past. The Audio Technica AD700's are the single most comfortable pair of headphones I've ever put on. They also sound wonderful but, unfortunately, they lack bass oomph (a personal preference). Good luck, Boz

Any help on opinion?

Bikouchu35
What you're asking for is the Audio Technica ATH-M50, but you already own a very close model. Still, it's worth an audition. Outside your budget is the V-Moda M-80, which is an on-ear but meets a lot of your criteria, and alternatively the over-ear, closed-back Beyerdynamic DT770. But what you really want is the Denon AH-D2000. That's way outside your budget, but it fits every criteria. Good luck, Boz

On Amazon you can see what will fit your car, plus if you went to a shop i'm sure they would know, what they do is put in an adapter that fills up the rest of the space that the other bulky radio took up and holds the newer one in place. X360PS3AMD05
Good God, don't go to Amazon for car audio expertise! I'm not saying buy from Amazon - they have some awesome deals - just don't go there for advice on car audio. Boz

All users, including those on my friend's list, are not able to view my user page: http://www.gamespot.com/users/Bozanimal/. I recently encountered this issue with Elraptor, who resolved it by logging out and logging back in, but I have done everything from changing my Privacy Level to "Just Me" and back to "Everyone," to logging out and back in, to swapping browsers. No matter when, if I am logged out I am unable to view http://www.gamespot.com/users/Bozanimal/.

Please advise,

Boz

It's been broken for a year at least.topsemag55
This has been broken since 2008. At this point I wouldn't call it broken, I would call it removed. Getting it back wouldn't be fixing anything, it'd be adding a new feature, much like using HTML to make links. Boz

Hi. My Sennheiser HD202s are getting boring. I'm on a tight budget. ~$100 sounds about right.

Thing is, I'm wondering how much a difference there would be between spending 100 and spending 150? And so on. Like, where's the best price for performance? I'm looking at those Audio Technica ATH-M50s, but do I need to spend that much? How much of a difference would downgrading toSennheiser PX 200-II be?

Thanks in advance.

I've been looking to upgrade myself, I own a pair of HD202's, and have auditioned dozens of headphones recently including headphones from AKG, Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Beats, Skullcandy, Grado, JVC, Sony, Shure, Klipsch, and Bowers & Wilkins. The Audio Technica ATH-M50's sound as good as closed-back headphones in the $300 range. They are absolutely the best value in any headphone relative to every other pair I've tried. Unfortunately, I found them highly uncomfortable on my planet-sized head (it pressures the hinge of my jaw), but 95% of owners find them very comfy, and you can see as much from their Amazon reviews. Alternatively - if budget is a major concern - you might look into the Grado SR60i or SR80i, both of which are highly regarded and comfortable. Check out the Headphone FAQ in these forums, which will give you some additional ideas. I designed it with the idea that each step up yielded a noticeable improvement in quality. Good luck, Boz
