"You were a child, crawling on your knees towards it" ... I reckon its one of the songs of this decade actually.

I'm not working til I'm 60, that's for sure.
I won't do it. Whatever your dreams are, don't ditch them. If you wanna be a pro gamer, or a rockstar, don't give up, even if your in your 40's.
I'm 21, and I refuse to fall in line with what people call "reality" and work a crappy job for 30 years because it's the "only way" to get by in society. Do what you want. Then you will have no regrets cause atleast you never gave up your dreams because someone else told you it can't happen.

Society today is dependent on economy. Economy is dependent on commercialism. Commercialism is dependent on consumers. That is why kids grow up wanting to be something or someone they are not. Because TV and adverts, everywhere you look, tell kids and people that you need this product to be anyone important, or you need to act this way, to be anyone important. And because we are born with an ego, everyone wants to be someone. Everyone wants to be important.
By default life is absolutely meaningless. Its a blank canvas. The only reason things are meaningful is because we make them meaningful. Its not about ditching dreams and working until you are 60. Its about defining whats important and meaningful to YOU, and the experience you have in doing so. To assume that someone isnt happy or living life to its fullest because of how they live it is just niave.Â
I have a 10 year old kitty that i love dearly. Ive had her since she was a kitten. My issue here is closed doors. The only door i close is the bedroom door at night when i am sleeping. I dont know if its territorial, or a control thing, but if she sees a closed door, it needs to be open. So she scratches the bottom of the door which is tearing it up, (not declawed, and no i wont declaw her), and is the most annoying thing ever. This had gone on before but she quit doing it, but has started again. :(
I've never really tried anything to get her to stop, other than ignoring her which just makes her scratch more. (Going to try double sided tape tonight). Anyone else have this problem (or other cat problems... feel free to share), and have found a fix?
I also feel...this being OT, that i need to add keeping the door is not an option and neither is declawing her. But i think thats obvious.Â
[QUOTE="Funky_Llama"][QUOTE="mysterylobster"]And it used to be such a bastion of quality journalism.Quality journalism is an oxymoron in America. Um...why just America? We have better journalism than sayyyyy... NORTH KOREA!! PizzaI wonder if he's watched Fox News in the past year or so. It's gone downhill fast.Â
We need a true conservative cable news chanel. Â

thats some manager you got. I wouldnt have left that early even if he just said to go.Tjeremiah1988Yea i dont know about that either. From what i hear in retail, the schedule is suppose to be posted 2 weeks in advance, and only changed upon requesting your permission. I could be wrong. And also im pretty sure if you are scheduled for a shift, they are suppose to honor that schedule by allowing you at LEAST 3 hours, if not, the entire shift.
[QUOTE="Buddha_basic"]What do people expect? The books from what ive raed of the first, looked like they were written by a highschool kid for a c average grade.SetsaSo, I'm not the only one who thinks "I punched the door open in fury" is bad writing? Maybe humanity has a chance after all.... Ha thank you. Perfect example.
