There are several legal Glaucoma treatments.

Theokhoth

And youre saying these work?

They obviously do work for some people.:| Pot isn't the only medication for Glaucoma.

I didnt say it was. But for a lot of people the medication either doesnt work at all, or the benefits do not outweigh the side effects. I dont know it seems like youre arguing simply to argue...which is fine.

The bottom line is plenty of people commit suicide and thats fact. They have their reasons everything from thinking (whether its true or not), that there is no way out of their situation, to crying out for help not really wanting to end their life. In my opinion it should be illegal for someone to intervene to a severe degree with someone who truly wants to commit suicide. Just ilke murder is illegal because one person is choosing that another cease to live, inhibiting someone from deciding that for themselves should be illegal as well.

What people are these?

Theokhoth

Glaucoma where marijuana is not legal for medicinal use. Even though tis all around the street and fairly easy to obtain, plenty of older people dont know how to go about getting any without feeling unsafe.

The truth is sometimes life is easier to live even if its not a good one. Killing yourself takes a ton of guts.

There is always another way out. Death is the only immediate way to end the pain. Sometimes it takes a while.Theokhoth
Wrong. Some people have such physical pain there is no other way out, science can't help them and they will be in pain 24/7 for the rest of their life with no hope of it ever ending. Keeping them around in such misery is selfish and evil.

ive thought of other people committing suicide...

but otherwise no, suicide is a cowards way out of life.

Theokhoth

i dont know man. i used to think that. but it must take real guts to stare death in the face like that

It takes more guts to spit in Death's face than it does to accept its embrace.

I disagree. We know what life is cause we live it. We dont know what death is.

I agree that we have free will to do nothing, but we can't do EVERYthing that we may WANT to do.

And I wasnt born knowing my name, or what race I was, what was good or bad, what social class i was or who the president is or anything. I learned all of those things from other people.

All I am trying to say is that maybe it is time we start learning things on our own, using information that we know, and choosing the path that our own hearts lead us on, and not someone elses.

Kryptok

Well again, youre assuming that most people are NOT choosing the path that their hearts lead them on. And thats very subjective anyway. Your idea of a happy life could be very different from mine. Basically what i hear you saying is, lets all stop going down THAT road there, and all go down this one instead.

And i think free will is defined a little too literally. By default life means nothing, because at the end of it you cease to live. The only way it gains meaning, is when we give it meaning, and define certain things to mean something to us. So i think its not free will to, for example, flap your arms adn be able to fly. Its free will to interpret/define what your life means to you.

thank you for this, that is beautifully said. you are right, i guess. but then maybe im not doing this right? im only trying to get people to think, and then try to help the world stop hating so much, you know? what might you think would be a better solution to this? i realize life doesnt have meaning i guess, because if we wanted to we could stop procreating and just cease to exist all together, but im sure that wont happen anytime soon...

rather, how would you, if you wanted to, change the world 'for the better' using the generalisation of ending starvation, fixing the corruptness of money and government, and making life more enjoyable such as having a borderless world, and things like that?

Well again, what i said doesnt have to ring true to you or anyone. You could very well believe that we all have a destined purpose and meaning, and its already defined for us, we just have to find it. ....I'm not trying to tell anyone how to think, is what im saying.

How do we end starvation, disease, war? Well if i knew id have a few nobel peace prizes in my pockets, and the world would be without such things. I think the question is not how we stop it, but what causes it. In my opinion, most wars are religion based. But lets not go into that i dont feel like arguing religion. (its not important to me...see the theme? :P )

What happened to not capitalising random words in the middle of a sentence?Bourbons3
But dont you see? I CHOOSE to capitalize words, not at all by random, for an effect of emphasise on said word. SEE?!
